Summary
OneOverwatch 2player has come up with a cute take on tank character Wrecking Ball based on Disney’sThe Incrediblesmovies. Thanks to developer Blizzard’s penchant for releasing all sorts of nice skins for the game’s heroes, many fans also feel generally very inspired to come up with their owncreativeOverwatchlooks based on other franchises.
Overwatch 2officially released in August 2023 after around 10 months in early access, and new content and updates for the game have been releasing at a steady pace, making for a healthy player base. One thing players can rely on Blizzard to keep giving them is new cosmetics, with character and weapon skins rolling out almost every month to satisfy those who want to fully personalize their favorite heroes.

Redditor SeboTattoo, who likes to design their own crossoverOverwatchskins, recently uploaded a concept for Wrecking Ball that pays homage to the popular villain Syndrome fromThe Incredibles. The hamster itself is dressed up in Syndrome’s familiar black-and-white costume and even has his iconic coiffed red hair, while its spider robot is painted in black to resemble his fearsome Omnidroid. In the movie, Syndrome turns out to be protagonist Mr. Incredible’s former aspiring sidekick, whom he rejects, resulting in the boy turning bitter and becoming a supervillain.
SeboTattoo has also posted other Disney-inspired skin concepts, using characters from beloved franchises such asToy StoryandRatatouille. Meanwhile, other fans have drawn inspiration from various popular media and game franchises to create, for example, askin for Wrecking Ball based on Kratos fromGod of War. Thanks to the diversity of theOverwatchhero roster, there are endless possibilities for references to characters from other IPs.
While the chances are pretty slim that these designs would ever actually be implemented into the game due to various complications, the fan-made crossovers seem more popular than some of theOverwatchskins Blizzard’s been introducing lately. A few of the developer’s recent cosmetic changes have been unintentionally upsetting fans, though most of the complaints don’t seem to be about game-breaking issues that would cause people to stop playing.
