10Ruthless Raiders

Ruthless raiders are chaotic and the perfect society trait for players that want to use an aggressive military-like expansion strategy. Their -10 evil alignment makes them uninterested in right or wrong. They are more preoccupied with looting and plundering enemy cities and outposts while killing without pity.

This trait is powerful as players gain 2 random hero items, and their nearest cities earn +3 gold and +3 draft per unit killed after successful combat. Ruthless Raiders cannot be used together with Chosen Uniters or Devotees of Good.

The Chosen Uniters is a +10 positively aligned society trait.It is a well-balanced trait that uses diplomacyas the main approach in its expansion strategy. Chosen Uniters place emphasis on cooperation and defending their empire.

A player gains +20 income from all its vessels and its shield and polearm units also have +1 rank. As a starting bonus for choosing this trait, players start the game with an extra shield or polearm unit. It is a great strategic trait for players who want to grow their empire without fighting a lot of wars.

8Devotees Of Good

The Devotees of Good trait is a +10 positively aligned trait that is very good for building and developing an empire throughout the game. Players’ support and polearm units all have +1 rank and an extrasupport or polearm unitas a starting bonus.

It offers players +10 stability and +5 imperium for each level of good alignment. This allows players to use this trait to earn +15 imperium per turn if they perform truly good deeds. The trait cannot be used with Ritual Cannibals, Ruthless Raiders, or Scions of Evil.

Powerful Evokers are aggressive and vicious. They are very powerful and relentlessly attack and destroy everything that stands in the way of their exploration and expansion. This society trait is best for players who are very aggressive in their strategy.

The trait gives a player’s battle mage and support units a +1 rank and provides +5 combat casting points before the start of combat. Players also gain an extra battle or support unit as a starting bonus. With all this in mind, it’s no surprise many players believe the Powerful Evokers trait is the most effective for a military victory.

Devotees of Good

6Adept Settlers

Adept settlers can easily build and settle in new cities. This trait offers players a front foot inbuilding and founding new citiesthroughout the game. Players can save spending imperium when building a city as founding cities cost of 25% less imperium.

Adept Settlers start the game with +1 city capital and new cities gain +1 population. As a starting bonus, the capital city also starts with a +1 population. Players can easily win with expansion victory using this trait as they can gain and build new cities with less cost and more population.

5Mana Channelers

This is one of the most efficient and effective society traits for military victory inAge Of Wonder 4. Mana Channelers are loved by mana and offer support to their armies during battles by channeling mana to them. They are very powerful summoners capable of transporting armies between different dimensions.

This society trait helps players to employambush strategy or overwhelm enemieswith more numbers, it is also an effective way of disguising the true size of an army going for a battle. Mana Channelers spend 50% less mana for summoning spells, all magic origin units have +1 rank, and players using this trait will have an extra magic origin unit as a starting bonus.

Ritual cannibals have a -10 evil alignment and units can self-heal through their corpse-eating ability. Units under this trait players’ units gain +15 health when they destroy target enemy corpses. Their nearest cities gain +3 food and +3 mana for every enemy non-magic origin unit lost or killed after a successful battle.

Many players believe that Ritual Cannibals can turn a battle on its head due to their unit’s self-healing ability. It is an ideal trait for players who prefer a militaristic and chaotic strategy, Ritual Cannibals cannot be used with Chosen Uniters and Devotees of Good.

They thirst for knowledge and power in their pursuit of evil, the Scions of Evil have a -10 evil alignment and cities gain +10 draft for military power. This trait is good for empire building as it offers players +5 imperium per level of evil alignment.

At the max level of evil alignment, units are recruited with +1 rank, and players start the game with 1 shield and shock units. Players gain an extra shield or shock unit as a bonus for using this trait. Scions of Evil are incompatible with Chosen Uniters and Devotees of Good.

2Prolific Swarmers

Prolific Swarmers are perfect for building fast-growing cities, and strong economies at a lesser cost than other traits.This trait is best suited for players who want to win through expansion victory, it cost 10% less food to gain a new population when a player uses this trait.

Player’s Tier 1 units have +1 ranks and non-magic origin units cost 20% less upkeep, and they start with an extra Tier 1 unit as a starting bonus. Their strength lies in their large numbers and how fast their population and cities go.

Ancient Wise ones are one of the oldest and are very learned, their purpose is to know all about arcane knowledge. Knowledge inAge of Wonders 4is importantto research Tomes, race transformation, and combat spells. With this trait, players get one random unlocked research skill.

Players can also unlock one random Tome at 60% less knowledge which is a very powerful feature for players. With this effect, players research and unlock Tomes faster than other traits. Ancient Wise Ones are incompatible with Gifted Casters and Shadow Walkers.
