Nintendo and Build-A-Bear’sAnimal Crossing: New Horizonscollaboration got off to a successful start earlier this year, with Tom Nook and Isabelle plushies selling well. The plushies performed so well thatBuild-A-Bear announced a restock for theNew Horizonscollaboration at the end of last month, which no doubt pleased a lot of fans.
Now, Build-A-Bear has sent out a press email confirming another update for theAnimal Crossing: New Horizonscollaboration. According to Build-A-Bear, interested customers will be able to buy winter outfits for theAnimal Crossing: New HorizonsTom Nook and Isabelle plushies starting tomorrow, May 11.

Specifically, these winter outfit plushies should be available to order on the US Build-A-Bear website starting at 8:00 a.m. PST. As with thefirst run of theAnimal CrossingBuild-A-Bearrelease, there may be some kind of virtual waiting room on the store’s website, though nothing official has been announced as of yet. That being said, theAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsplushies are still available to purchase now, so there may not be a need for a virtual waiting room this time around. Interested customers should still be ready to place their orders in case the demand for these winter outfits is high.
While this Build-A-Bear collaboration once againonly focuses on twoNew Horizonscharacters, there are some new additions coming with these plushies. According to the promotional image included by Build-A-Bear, it seems these winter-themed bundles will also come with music and phrases. Though admittedly not a huge deviation from the original clothing options, it is a nice bit of variety that allows owners to showcase more seasonal plushies. Additionally, it appears that interested customers will only be able to purchase these new winter-themed outfits in a set bundle, as opposed to simply buying both sets of available outfits.
It’s also important to note that while these Build-A-Bear plushies arenow available to purchase via Nintendo Stores, it’s unclear if these winter-themed outfit variations will be as well. At the very least, the winter Tom Nook and Isabelle plushies may not be available to purchase at Nintendo Stores at launch. Those interested in purchasing these plushies should stick to the official Build-A-Bear website for the time being.
While these wintery outfits are a nice addition to theNew HorizonsBuild-A-Bear collaboration, it’s nothing too major. However,anotherAnimal Crossingcharacter is supposedly comingto the collaboration sometime this summer. As for which character is going to be added, people can only speculate based on the two plushies that have been released so far. Considering the plushies are of prominent and popularAnimal CrossingNPCs, the unannounced plushie will probably be another popular NPC character such as Blathers or Sable. Hopefully those interested in this Build-A-Bear collaboration are able to snag these winter outfits and look forward to whatever Build-A-Bear has in store.
