Part of the fun ofAnimal Crossingis collecting your favorite villagers and there’s a wide range of animal types to be found. When it comes to goat villagers, there are ten in total, but not all of them have made their way toNew Horizons. Check out all of the goat villagers the entire series has to offer just below.

10Velma

Velma is the only female goat in the series to have a beard and with her glasses, freckles, and brown hair, she has a striking resemblance to Velma Dinkley fromScooby-Doo, likely her namesake. She has thesnooty personality type, which means she can come across as rude and condescending at times, not only to the player but to other villagers too.

Velma’s house inNew Horizonsis quite grand, with elegant bookcase wallpaper, a grand piano, and other musical instruments and devices.

9Sven

Sven appeared in the Japanese-onlyAnimal Foresttitles, with his only western appearance being in the originalAnimal Crossingfor the GameCube. This lazy goat villager has been forgotten since, though there’s still a chance he’ll be added back if Nintendo does something similar to what they did withNew Leaf, where they implemented the Welcome Amiibo update that added a host of villagers.

Sven looks very much like an old man with his droopy white mustache, beard, and thick bushy brows. His house inAnimal Crossinghad a strange decor in that it consisted largely of a lot of wagon furnishings.

His closed eyes and white beard coupled with his catchphrase of “dagnaabit” gives him an old man vibe. Billy’s house is a bit of a mess, with garbage flooring and cardboard furniture.

7Iggy

Iggy appeared in the earlyAnimal Foresttitles in Japan, but overseas players only got to see this goat in action in the originalAnimal Crossingfor the GameCube. This blue goat sports a large mustache and has white hair. His eyes are so wide that even while happy– when villagers normally close their eyes in an upward curve– he cannot close them fully.

As a jock personality type, Iggy is very competitive and really into fitness and exercise. His catchphrase is “paaally”, which seems to be the word “pally” as a term of endearment, like “pal”, mixed with the sound a goat makes. Perhaps he will be added toNew Horizonsin a future update.

6Gruff

Much like Billy, Gruff’s name is a reference to theThree Billy Goats Gruffstory, as well as being rather fitting as he is of thecranky personality type. Gruff’s default outfit and home reflect his interest in all things rockabilly, and he has the music hobby, which is evident from the drum kit in his house.

Though Gruff appeared in many of the earlyAnimal Crossingtitles, he was missing fromWild Worldas for some inexplicable reason, all goats apart from two were removed from the series at that point, leaving only two female goats in that title and the sequelCity Folk. More goats didn’t make a reappearance until the release ofNew Leaf.
