Warhammer 40000: Gladius - Relics Of Warallows players to choose from different unique factions in the war inWarhammer 40000universe. The universe is rife with war and diplomacy and trade are alien concepts that do not apply to Gladius Prime. All that matters is dominance over the resources of the planet.

Players can choose from one of thefirst four factionsin the game before unlocking other factions as they progress in the game. Depending on their strategic acumen, each of these factions presents players with unique traits that can tilt the balance of the war in their favor.

9Adeptus Mechanicus

The Adeptus Mechanicus are the cult followers of the Machine God. This faction is an empire with its own agenda and its purpose is todiscover knowledge of technology. They destroy anyone who dares to stand in their way with their elite bio-augmented armies.

They can enhance their units by chanting Mechanicus hymns which increase in power with every warrior that prays. They have high resistance to damage due to their bionic parts. They cling to the past which results in increased research costs, and they are unfamiliar with the art of innovation.

8Astra Militarum

The Astra Militarum faction is the largest faction inWarhammer 40000: Gladius - Relics Of War. They are a consolidation of an innumerable number of soldiers from a plethora of different worlds. This faction is the main fighting force for the survival of humankind.

Their billion-man fighting force comprises mainly ranged infantry that prefers to fight from distances. Their army is inexpensive, but they are very vulnerable to morale loss. Their fighting force has heavily armored upgradeable vehicles and an imperial bastion to keep enemies away.

7Chaos Space Marines

The Daemon Princes of Chaos lead the ChaosSpace Marines, and they pledged fealty to the Dark Gods of Chaos. This faction engage in endless wars for slaves, resources and to gain favor from the Dark Gods. They have cheap infantry that can found cities and increase their growth.

Chaos Space Marines are veterans of the war in Imperium and their veteran units gain increased morale and a bonus to their melee accuracy when fighting against Loyal Space Marine armies. They are likely to get a permanent chaos boon when their champion kills an enemy. They use their marks of chaos to brand units with a gods’ mark to increase that unit’s power.

6Craftworld Aeldari

The Craftworld Aeldari faction is the creation of the Old Ones. This faction is advanced, capable, and refined, they are a terrifying foe that is well-versed in the art of war. After the destruction of their world, only the hardy Exodites are the surviving Aeldaris.

They strike fast and run before enemies can react, they gain energy for every Aeldari unit that falls in battle. The Craftworld Aeldaris can activate Webway gates which enables them to move quickly and easily across battlefields. They are able to call off-world Asuryani to temporarily boost their growth rate.

5Necrons

The deathless metal masters are cruel war machines aiming for world domination and enslavement. The Necrons possess technologies that are eons ahead of younger factions. They defeated the Old Ones who were the previous masters of the galaxy.

The Necron Factioncan only found cities on Necron tombs, and they can spend influence to repair themselves in the field. Necrons have the ability to teleport to eternity gates and they expend energy to produce more units, they feed on ore and require them for unit upkeep.

4Orks

The Orcs are anarchists who love the thrill of battle and they look forward to fighting in the war in Imperium. The 8-foot-tall Orcs are very resilient, aggressive, and heavily muscled. These space-faring warmongers have been waging war on their neighbors long before the human imperium came into the fray.

This faction doesn’t lose a lot of morale but when they do, they take a lot of damage. Their cities grow fungi fields capable of healing injured Orks and when their influence is high their units gain a bonus to damage.

3The T’au Faction

This young faction is a peace-loving faction with a determination to work for the greater good. They possess advanced military technology which they use to defeat the enemies that oppose them. The T’au faction has already claimed some worlds to their name.

Their advanced technology provides defensive, tactical, and offensive support to the faction.They can mark enemy units for precision and damaging attacks. The T’au use its diplomatic influence to crush the morale of enemy units. They can also undermine the power and authority of enemy cities reducing their loyalty.

Necrons

2Tyranids

The Tyranids are huge alien monsters with sharp claws anddeadly bioweapons. They are world devourers with an insatiable taste for living organisms. These living weapons are few with the majority of them kept at bay from the Imperial citizens by the warms storms.

They feed on a single biomass resource and their production buildings reclaim units to recover biomass and production. Tyranids learn new ways of winning their enemies in subsequent battles after defeating and consuming them. Their poisoned weapons cause additional damage to enemy infantry and their acid blood causes damage to melee attackers.

1Space Marines

The Space Marinesare the greatest soldiers in the galaxy, and their primary duty is to protect the human imperium. These genetically engineered soldiers wear power armor and have the finest weapons, although their numbers are the smallest in the game. They depend on a single soil-independent resource rather than ore and food.

They specialize in specialized and tactical operations which players can deploy anywhere on any battlefield. This faction resides in their only city which is deployed from orbit and has deployable fortifications that can gather the resources they need.
