Summary
Tears of the Kingdomis full of allkinds of brilliant weapons, whether they’re useful for area of effect, melee or ranged damage, or because they’re just plain fun. Link’s new Fuse ability has allowed players to use their imaginations, resulting in a collection ofweapons more uniqueand powerful than ever before.
Some players might be surprised to find that ice weapons can be among the most useful available inTears of the Kingdom. Ice has very helpful properties, namely freezing smaller enemies solid. They can also be used to create frozen platforms on water, and they can evaporate a fire-based enemy with one hit. Thanks to Fuse, there are more choices than ever for a good ice weapon.

Best Base Damage Weapons
Tears of the Kingdomdoesn’t have weapons that come with an innate ice ability. Instead, they must be fused with an ice-based material. The total attack power of a fused weapon largely depends on the base damage of the weapon, and there are a few different powerful ones that can be found all over the map.
Any Gerudo weapons will double the damage of fused materials, making them incredibly useful for high-damage dealing. As well as this, Zora weapons with Water Warrior will double in damage when near water, or if Link is wet, which can make them incredibly strong.

1White Chuchu Jelly Arrows
Fuse Attack Power: +1
A +1 fuse attack power might not sound like much to players, especially since there are seemingly unlimited options when it comes to adding materials to arrows, and it’s hard to know whichones are the most useful. However, White Chuchu Jellies have a special ice property that makes them incredibly useful in a few different ways.
Firstly, firing aWhite Chuchu Jellyat any lesser enemy will freeze it solid, and if they’re of fire origin then they’ll explode into nothingness straight after. As well as this, the jelly will explode upon impact, which gives it a great area of effect - meaning Link can freeze multiple enemies at once to make his escape or get a few big hits before they unfreeze. White Chuchu Jelly will be dropped by defeated White Chuchu’s found in colder regions like Hebra or can be created by applying ice elemental magic to normal Chuchu Jelly.

2Sapphire Staff
Fuse Attack Power: +1 (More From Ice Magic)
Once again, a +1 fuse attack power looks pretty paltry next to a lot of other materials, butgems in particularhave a hidden power. When a sapphire is fused to aMagic Staff, it will create a Sapphire Staff which will fire not one, but three puffs of ice magic towards enemies.
These attacks will do significantly more damage than a melee strike, which makes it very useful. These ice puffs will also freeze enemies, and the three magic balls will bounce off surfaces to strike enemies. This makes the Sapphire Staff unbelievably useful if Link is in a fight with multiple enemies at once.

3Ice-Breath Lizal Blade
Fuse Attack Power: +15
Ice-Breath Lizalfos Horns are the best lesser elemental monster part when it comes to weapon fusing. The jagged horn will add a +16 to the weapon it’s fused with, and deal ice magic with each hit. This means that a single melee hit could freeze an enemy solid, or obliterate a fire-based enemy.
Ice-Breath Lizalfos are no easy enemies to take on since their ice-breath will freeze Link if he gets struck by it. They can be found in the colder regions of Hyrule, like Hebra and Gerudo Highlands - but players should keep their eyes peeled since these pesky foes can camouflage themselves to look like ice.

4Naydra Hammer
Fuse Attack Power: +16
Tears of the Kingdom’sdragons are incredibly useful for farming powerful monster parts since they aren’t hostile creatures. Aside from the elemental magic that floats around them - which can be avoided with the right armor - they won’t deal any damage to Link even if he strikes them. Naydra, the ice dragon, has spikes all along her back with multiple shards that are just waiting to be collected by Link.
Naydra’s Spike Shards are one of the most useful dragon parts for weapon fusing because they’re incredibly easy to obtain and don’t sell for much in shops. This makes them best utilized as part of a weapon, and the heavy spike will deal great cold damage when fused to any sort of melee weapon.

5Naydra Sword
Fuse Attack Power: +18
Naydra’s Claw is another immensely powerful ice-based fuse material. It can be acquired by carefully striking Naydra’s claws, causing one to fall off, so Link can collect it. The claw will add a +18 to any weapon it’s fused with, making it one of the better dragon parts to obtain.
Once fused with a weapon, the claw will deal ice damage and has a general frosty aura to it. They’re harder to get than Spike Shards since there’s a cooldown period for collecting special parts from a dragon, which means players will want to make the most of their claw weapon while they have it.

6Naydra Blade
Fuse Attack Power: +26
Naydra’s Horn is the strongest single part of Naydra, adding a +26 to any weapon it’s fused with. Like Naydra’s Claw and other special dragon parts, there’s a cooldown period after acquiring one which makes it one of the rarer monster parts.
This wicked-looking horn can be fused with powerful melee weapons to create a brilliant ice weapon, which can be used to freeze enemies and deal some serious damage. Naydra moves around the Hyrule map pretty quickly, butin a reliable pattern, which makes her easy to farm.

7Frost-Gleeok Blade
Fuse Attack Power: +30
A Frost Gleeok’s Horn is the most powerful ice-based monster part available in the entire game. This heavy horn emits a terrifying gust of ice elemental power, which will deal some serious damage to any enemies stupid enough to get close.
There’s no real way around obtaining these horns, so players will have to defeat a Frost Gleeok. Although they may look intimidating, Gleeok’s aren’t impossibly difficult and can be quite easily killed with the right preparation and equipment. They’re one of the morefun enemies to battle, and they drop some of the most rewarding monster parts.
