Activision has finally announced the changes thatCall of Duty: Warzoneplayers can expect to see in the Season 2 update of the Caldera map. One of the new vehicles set to be added toCall of Duty: Warzonewas accurately predicted by a leaker as well.
Two new aerial vehicles are set to make their way toCall of Duty: Warzonein the Season 2 update of the Caldera map. A Twitter user, Real1tyUK,predicted that a new plane would be added to the game called the Bomber. According to the officialCall of Dutywebsite, Real1tyUK seems to have received the correct information, as the Bomber has been announced along with a description of how it is set to work.

The leaker was also able to accurately predict the way in which the vehicle is set to operate. The Bomber will be able to drop bombs from above and destroy players, vehicles, Anti-Air guns, and even Loadout Drops. Raven Software also stated that the Bomber’s slow speed and maneuverability will make it susceptible to the Fighter Plane. The company made mention of the fact that the health of planes will also be nerfed, making it easier for players to take down the airborne vehicles.
Another new addition to the game is the Redeploy Balloon. This new addition will give players the ability to zipline up to a Redeploy Balloon and then jump off the top of it, after which they can deploy their parachute and travel great distances. Redeploy Balloons can be destroyed by other players but can be reinflated for a fee.
The announcementmade no mention of the possibility of Caldera’s volcano erupting, although thankfully, it seems as though Raven Software did listen to fan feedback. The new update is said to be adding multiple new points of interest, which was a major gripe that players had with the map.
Another point that the announcement neglected to mention wasa change to the RNG of Caldera’s cash drops inCall of Duty: Warzone. Players complained that cash drops seemed to have been significantly nerfed after the game’s February 3 update, however, it seems as though Raven Software might be sticking to its guns on the matter.
Hopefully, Activision will rework the game’s Ricochet anti-cheat system asCall of Duty: Warzoneseems to be a resurgence in cheating. The new content bodes well for the game, however, Activision needs to come up with a long-lasting solution to the problem to encourage players to keep playing the game.
Call of Duty: Warzoneis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
