While there are a number of entries in the franchise to go back to and enjoy,Silent Hillis still a melancholic topic for a lot of gamers. With theunfortunate loss of Kojima’sP.T., which would have led to a new game in the celebrated horror series, fans have been left wondering for many years whether they’ll see the return of the titular foggy town. Currently, there’s no word on whether a new game is happening or not, but it looks as though the classics may be coming to Steam at some point.
As spotted by Rely on Horror, Konami has released a brief trailer to its Instagram that montages select titles from its back catalog of releases. The accompanying message announces that 23 games and 18 DLC will be coming to Steam, though no date is given. While there’s no clip ofSilent Hillin the video itself, it is featured in the list of other hashtags in the description. This implies that the horror titles are to be included in this roster of games that will be available on Steam. The fact that Konami itself is saying it does suggest this could be real. In which case, it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on things to see how the story develops.
