CouRage talks about the difficulties streaming live compared torecording YouTube videosand posting them later. He said, “I think a lot of people might underestimate how tough it is to be on for that many hours." CouRage has experience with both live streaming and recording videos, and it seems he enjoys both, but wants to let fans know how hard live streaming can be. Many fans may only see the surface of streaming and assume the content creator is just turning on the computer and webcam to play video games, but CouRage explains there is much more than meets the eye.
CouRage said, “You’re not only trying to play the game, you’re trying to entertain, you’re trying to interact with other people you’re with in the Discord, then you have people in chat, then you have the donos and reading off subs. It’s a lot. It’s a tough job. As TimTheTatMan would say, ‘We work, we work hard.'”
All four of the content creators on the podcast episode share how difficult it is to stream as a job. While the content creators all are enjoying a great deal of success on their platforms, the journey to the top is not all fun and games, despite requiring them to have fun and play games. Ludwig shares that he enjoys the pressure of being live, which must be true becauseLudwig recently spent a month straight streaminghimself playing games, making food, and even sleeping.
Many fans may think that streaming is as easy as turning on a webcam and watching the money pour in.Streamers like CouRagehave put in hours of work to entertain viewers and produce high-quality content. Although the journey is difficult, CouRage is not discouraging people from trying to become content creators on platforms likeTwitch, but explaining how hard the work is behind the scenes.
