Although many had a hearty dose ofCrash Bandicootaction through the recent release ofIt’s About Timeback in October, the team over at King is getting ready to release its own spin on the franchise in next year’sCrash Bandicoot: On the Run. The mobile title is an endless runner in the same vein asTemple Run,featuring the titular marsupial and a number of other iconic faces as they venture through a series of levels based withintheCrash Bandicootuniverse.

Thanks to IGN, fans now have a clearer look at what these levels will look like, with a new video on the publication’s channel highlighting four of the stages included. These are Great Gate, Sewer or Later, Dino-Mite, and Snow Go, with each offering vastly different environments featuring iconicCrash Bandicoothazards to overcome.

The first location shown off in the video is Dino-Mite, which bears the same name as one of the prehistoric-era levels inCrash Bandicoot: Warped.Similarly to the vast majority of bothCrash 2and3’stime-hopping locations, it sees Crash forced to navigate his way over large dinosaur bones, avoid fiery lava pits, and time his jumps over rising geysers of steam. It looks to be a fun throwback toCrash’sthird adventure with some challenging obstacles thrown in.

It quickly transitions into the next level, Sewer or Later, which is named after one ofCrash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back’smost iconic levels. Much like the original stage, Sewer or Latersees Crash venturing throughNeo Cortex’s sewer system, with a number of the mission’s hazards returning. Players must hop over rolling toxic waste barrels, navigate past spiders, and spin attack Cortex’s robots if they want to wrack up a high score.

The third stage up is Snow Go, with this one also named after a stage fromCrash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back.As the name suggests, players travel to one of Crash’s iconic snow levels, where they must fight penguins, avoid pistons, and dodge falling stalactites. It channels exactly what makesCrash Bandicoot’sseries of winter-stagesso notorious, with similar hazards to keep players on their toes.

Finally, there’s The Great Gate, which comes from the firstCrash Bandicoot. The original stage sees players ascending a large gate, all the while contending with brutal traps and punishing foes, and it seems theOn the Runadaptation won’t be any different. Players have to combat giant venus fly traps, make daring leaps over large drops with bounce crates, and slide under spike traps which emerge from the walls. All four levels will seemingly be joined by other iconicCrash Bandicootstages when the game launches in March next year.

Crash Bandicoot: On the Runis expected to release on June 25, 2025, for Android and iOS devices.
