Dead by Daylightis ringing in the New Year with its final round of free cosmetics and in-game currency, marking the end of its Advent Calendar Celebration. This week’sDead by Daylightrewards include a pair of Frosty Eyes for The Blight, a New Year 2021 Charm, 1000 Iridescent Shards, and a whopping 110,000 Bloodpoints.

In the spirit of giving,Dead by Daylightintroduced theAdvent Calendar 2020 event, offering players cosmetics and in-game currency everyday between December 1 through January 3. The event is now in its final week, giving killers and survivors alike one last opportunity to add to their ever-growing collection of cosmetics.

Players logging in between December 28 and December 31 can use code FROSTYBLIGHT to earn The Blight’s Frosty Eyes cosmetic. Using the code NEWYEARNEWENTITY between December 31 and January 3 will unlock the New Year ‘21 Charm. In-game currency is available daily, though players will want to verify to log in at least once during December 31 through January 3 to earn 100,000 Bloodpoints. The 100,000 Bloodpoints are only claimable once.

This year’s winter event adds to the game’s robustHoliday Horror Collection, which includes the Trapper’s festive Krampus outfit and The Twins’ heart-warming Blood and Guts set. Though these presents must be purchased throughDead by Daylight’s in-game store.

The Advent Calendar marksDead by Daylight’s first “Celebration” since developer Behavior Interactive unveiled its new approach to in-game events. After receiving community backlash from this year’s disappointingEternal Blight Halloween event, the development team revamped their approach to seasonal events. In order to focus on delivering a quality experience for their robust Halloween and Anniversary events, the studio has shifted all other events into “Celebrations.”

While some fans may have wanted a bit more out of the winter event, it is very promising to see Behavior Interactive respond so quickly to community feedback. The Advent Calendar provided plenty of currency and a variety of cosmetics to obtain throughout December. The success of the studio’s new strategy will rely on its upcoming Anniversary event in June 2021.
