With the Witch Queen now about a month away from launch, Bungie has begun pulling back the curtain on whatDestiny 2players can expect with the newest expansion. While the studio has released plenty of story-based trailers and details over the past few months, new information is starting to appear about what’s changing with the game’s sandbox and game mechanics like thenewly introduced Glaive and how it’ll need to be crafted.

However, this week also brought the first taste ofmechanic changes in the form of Masterwork armor, artifact mods, and orb generation. Starting in Season 16, the cost to switch armor element types will be drastically reduced, and players won’t be limited to only unlocking 12 artifact mods. Players can continue leveling the season 16 artifact and potentially unlock all 25 mods available. Orb generation is no long tied to masterworked weapons, and instead will be made into a specific mod that can be placed inside a helmet for matching weapon damage types.

Where is Xur?

This weekend, players can track Xur back inside the European Dead Zone in his usual spot overlooking the Winding Cove.

Fast travel to the Winding Cove zone and immediately head towards the back where the Fallen typically patrol. Climb the cliffs back here to find Xur standing on a ledge not too far from a crashed ship.

Class Armor and Exotic Cipher

In Season of the Lost, Xur’s role has expanded as the exotic merchant has weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they’re necessary toacquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clanmates or finishing more challenging activities.

With Season 15, Xur is now selling even more gear outside his usual content. In addition to his normal exotic gear, Xur now has Legendary Weapons and Armor for sale in exchange for Legendary Shards and Glimmer. Better yet, the stat rolls are pretty solid on the Black Armor gear for this week.

Exotic Armor

Vesper of Radius- Warlock chest armor

The formerly troublesome Vesper of Radius is in stock this weekend. It is a subclass neutral exotic that enhances theWarlock’s Rift ability. Planetary Torrent releases an arc shockwave when the rift is first cast and recharges it faster if the player is surrounded by enemies.

Even after being buffed last year, the item still isn’t quite top tier, though some players have managed to get the most out of it with a few tricks. While this may be the lowest stat roll this week, 64 is still pretty solid, so it’s definitely worth considering.

Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:

Gwisin Vest - Hunter chest armor

Spectral Blade Hunters should take note this week as the Gwisin Vest is again on sale. The main reason is due to its intrinsic perk called Roving Assassin. While the super is active, each spectral blade kill lets the player vanish and gain more super energy, making it last longer than normal.

Considering the benefits of this exotic gear, it is a solid choice for Nightstalker Spectral Blade hunters, so it’s worth owning. However, this one may be worth picking up this week asBungie is planning a big Void 3.0 update, which may impact items like this. Plus, the stat roll this week is extremely high at 66, with great recovery.

Void Enhanced. Stat Values:

Armamentarium - Titan chest armor

The Armamentarium is back for Titans this week. Its exotic perk And Another Thing gives players one additional grenade charge. Unlike other exotics, this armor is easy to pair with any subclass, though it does shine brighter with specific ones.

A popular tactic with this item is to run suppressor grenades which will grant players double the power to take supers away from their enemies. It may not be exciting or flashy compared to some other exotics in the game, but it remains easy to recommend considering how valuable two grenades can be in most situations. Better yet, this week’s roll features high stats, incredibly high strength, and solid all around numbers in general.

Solar Enhanced. Stat Values:

Exotic Weapon

The minigun looking Sweet Business features the perk Payday which gives the gun a larger magazine and increased accuracy when firing from the hip. Its secondary perk, Business Time, boosts the range and rate of fire while the trigger is held. In addition, ammo pickups are automatically loaded into the gun.

Ultimately, this is a weapon that’s solid but not spectacular. There are better exotic weapons out there, but under certain situations, Sweet Business can hold its own. Titans can improve it even further when using Actium War Rigs. Still, this gun isn’t advised for PvP activities where hand cannons continue to rule the day, though Sweet Business can be a solid choice when clearing PvE enemies ordealing quick damage to bosses.
