Diablo 4has a long and winding main story with many quests and much to do. But it also has a whole bunch of side quests, each with its rewards and additions to thelore of Sanctuary. In order to learn everything they can about the world they are in,Diablo 4players should complete as many of these as possible, getting all that great loot as well while they are at it.
InScosglen, the secondDiablo 4maplocation players will visit, there are 47 of these side quests. But players will most likely want to know where to pick them up, what the prerequisites are, and how to complete each one.
Northshore Side Quests
There are seven total side quests, with one additionalDiablo 4side questthat is part of a chain in Northshore. Here is where to get each of these seven.
Stemming the Tide

Players will be asked to kill 100 Drowned enemies in the area by Aigidh in Northshore to get a Gem Cache.
A Briny Fate
After interacting with Fergus in Marowen, Fergus will send players to look for Benen at Stormbreak Cove. Talk with him, then speak to the Wounded Sailor nearby. Head to the Eternal Watch and speak with Benen. Return to Fergus to tell him about Benen.
Warded Sailor’s Vessel
The Warded Sailor’s Vessel is a random drop from one of the Slain Villager bodies in the area. Pick it up to start the quest.
Whispers from Below Side Quest Chain in Diablo 4
Roina is an NPC in the area that will start this side quest chain. Four total side quests need to be completed to finish it.
Investigate the bodies of Callum and Devlin on Roina’s behalf.
A Sodden Pact
Pick up hair from the Sodden Growths and check out the beach nearby.
Untangling Truths
Put the offerings at the Derelict Shrines in Linnead with Roina.
Threads of Envy
Speak with Roina before defeating the Water Wight and the Effigy.
Tur Dulra Stronghold and Deep Forest Side Quests
All these side quests can only be gotten inside the Tur Dulra Stronghold or the surrounding areas.
Tending Nature
Players must complete the Tur Dulra Stronghold before this side quest becomes available.
Left in Ashes
Check out Eadaoin’s ghost and remains, then kill the spirit; chat with Scholar Yuein about it afterward.
The Diviner
Players will need to also have completed Tur Dulra for this quest to even become available; they will have to head to the Wretched Delve to complete it.
A Deepening Shadow Side Quest Chain in Diablo 4
A Deepening Shadow
Players will need to kill corrupted deer and figure out what happened to Barret before returning to Shob`ha.
The Old Ways
After completing A Deepening Shadow, speak to Yuein. Kill the Wildwood and activate the three sacred stones, then head back to Yuein before returning to Shob`ha.
A Sliver of Light
Mochrann in the Deep Forest will ask the player to go with them to the font of corruption; then, make sure to slay all the corrupted beasts. Once all the steps are done, head back one final time to Shob`ha.
Wailing Hills Side Quests
There are a total of four side quests in this area, and players will want to complete each one.
Ravenous Predator’s Offering
First, pick up the Ravenous Predator’s Offering in the location above. After that, players will need to kill mobs marked with red dots in the Aisle of Whispers. Once the Offering is appeased, players will earn the Appeased Predator’s Offering.
Stolen Artifice
Talk to Merryn, then ask: “Do you need aid?” Defeat Darcel and return the dropped Runic Charm to Merryn.
Votive Passing
Chat with Chieftain Asgail, then head to the highlighted part of the map to find the Lost Hunters. Afterward, head to the next highlighted part and look for the Wounded Hunter. Go back to Braestaig with the Handmade Torc to give to Maisie.
Take Baltair’s bag to Corbach, then deliver it to Tadhg.
Cerrigar and The Emerald Chase Side Quests
There are four side quests in the Emerald Chase, and all of them are picked up in Cerrigar.
Daughter of the Oak
This quest goes to Underroot, which cannot be accessed until the Tur DulraStronghold in Scosglenis conquered. Players need to take a Root Cutting from the Underroot, then return it to Keeper Albard.
What Ails Thee?
In order to start this quest, chat with Cori in Cerrigar. Then, players will need to find Phelan in Blycroft; he will be located near a house. Players have dialogue options here: saying, “Cori sent me. He’s worried about you,” will end this quest. Players who choose to say, “What is happening here?” will get the side quest Fields of Ruin.
Blood of Brigands
Bryce will ask players to kill off 50 of the Bandits harrowing the area. Return to him afterward to get an ore cache.
The Fledgling Merchant
Kian will ask for 10 Charger Tusks to carve and sell, and players will need to help them out. Look for these critters in the Woodman’s Glade.
Westering Lowlands and Firebreak Manor Side Quests
Players can find three quests in the Lowlands and the Firebreak Manor.
A Plea for Aid
Players should wait to pick up this quest until they are also doing the Dark OmensDiablo 4main story campaign quest, since players will have to head into Firebreak Manor anyway.
Chronicling the Old Ways
Collect three Runic Tablets from wildlife and give them to Moreg in Laglend Fen.
A Different Beast
After finding the Broken Totem in the marked area, bring it to Artair.
Side Quests in Strand
The Strand is located between Caen Adar and Moordaine Lodge along the northernmost coast.
Message in a Bottle
Players will first need to pick up the Washed-Ashore Bottle along the coast of the Strand, then give it to Padrig.
The Seer in Strand Side Quest Chain in Diablo 4
This entire quest chain is found in the Strand, all near one another.
The Seer will ask for Goatman Entrails.
Smoke Signals
After the Seer, speak to Baewyn again, and go to Kealer Farm and talk to Farmer Kealer before returning to the Seer again.
Reclamation
Players will need access to the Domhainne Tunnels; the Seer will also need to be talked to to start this last quest in the chain.
Side Quests in the Downs
The Downs are filled with eight more of theseDiablo 4side quests.
Fields of Ruin
After chatting with Phelan, he will ask players to set up three wardstones, then return to him. Phelan will then ask players to track down Blackhorn’s lair, kill it, and bring back its head.
Braega’s Chronicles
The goat-like Khazra enemies in The Downs subregion of Scosglen will randomly drop this book; players will then get a quest to give it to Wilfred at Firebreak Manor.
Feral Moon
Players will need to pick up the Light-Blessed amulet from Sarat’s Lair and take it back to Edan.
Ever Faithful
Brenna will ask players to track down the bandit Faolan, slay him, then return to her.
The Traveling Scholar
The NPC Aria will ask for help getting to the ruins; after that, players will need to search by the water for druid artifacts. Aria will then need to go to the overlook – protect them from the attack.
First Among Wolves Quest Chain in Diablo 4
The First Among Wolves is an important quest chain that will allow players to do other quests in the future for Artair, including The Wrong Hands.
First, search the burned farm before killing the werewolves.
The Snare
After finding the Druid Totem, players need to start the blood ritual in The Harrowfields. Next, slay the goatmen that spawn and take a Vial of Khazra Blood. Complete the blood ritual, then kill the spawning Werewolves. Pick up the Vial of Khazra Blood, and bring it back to Artair.
Artair will tell players how to defeat the werewolf Una.
The Shrouded Moors Side Quests
In the location The Shrouded Moors, players will be able to nab four more side quests.
An Acquired Taste
Players will need to collect 12 Thorn Beast Meat around Loch Raeth, then return to Atli in the Shrouded Moors.
Of Pests and Pestilence
Meave will ask players to kill 75 String Swarms in the Shrouded Moors, then will reward them for doing it with an Elixir Cache.
Settling the Tab
Ask Niall if he’s waiting for something, then head to the Under the Fat Goose Inn to talk to Torben.
The Wrong Hands
After completing the First Among Wolves quest chain, players can find a Broken Carving in the Downs that can be returned to Artair.
Highland Wilds Side Quest
There are eight total side quests in the Wilds, and four of these are a quest chain around the Goose Inn.
Remembering the Goose
Torben will tell players that the sign for Under the Fat Goose Inn is missing; players will need to follow leads down to Loch’s Bane Ridge to get this sign back and return it to Torben.
The Broken Bear
After completing the First Among the Wolves quest chain, players can find a Broken Bear Totem when killing Grizzly Bears in the Wilds.
Wagered Honor
Ewan is at the Fat Goose Inn, and they will ask for a Giant Demon Horn to be brought back for them.
Claws at The Throat Side Quest Chain in Diablo 4
The Highland Wilds is also home to the Claws at The Throat Side Quest Chain; there are four quests in this chain.
Claws at The Throat
Ask everyone in Under the Flat Goose Inn about the Slain Merchant, then search the Merchant’s corpse for the item needed.
Pyre of Ash
Torben at the Goose Inn will tell the player about Blackweald Company; he will ask the player to find where the smoke is coming from. Search the Embered Recess, defeat the enemies there, then return to the Goose.
Chasing Embers
Toben will ask players to search the Scar for Blackweald Company and save the Pyre Victim.
The Bear of Blackweald
Players will finally get to defeat the Blackweald Company and Stana. Report back to Torben when finished.
