Although the newest update forDiablo 4hasn’t been a hit with everyone, Reddit user Crookedparadigm pointed out the best part of the update that no one else is talking about. This optimistic fan pointed out that theRenown values inDiablo 4have been buffed for both side quests and dungeons. Usually, side quests reward the player with 20 Renown, and after the update, they produce 30. Dungeons now reward 40 Renown, which is up from 30. These buffs in Renown values will make it easier for casual players to progress and make side missions a little more worth it to complete.

Renown inDiablo 4works by completing optional activities throughout the world to unlock up to five different tiers of Renown. Each region of the map have five different Renown tiers, giving the player plenty of chances to earn skill points, gold, paragon points, and potion expansions. To gain the most Renown for each region, players should complete all 15 Strongholds found in Sanctuary, which will net the player 100 Renown for each one completed. Players must also unlock World Tier 4 and World Tier 5 to gain all of Renown possible in the game.

Although Renown doesn’t carry over from the main story, certain elements earned throughout the campaign do carry over toSeason 1 inDiablo 4. Players won’t have to worry about losing their Altar of Lilith progress or the amount of fog of war that was lifted in the main story.

Diablo 4is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
