Revival Nappa (Purple, LL)

Updated on August 17th, 2024, by Rhenn Taguiam:With a Legends Limited Super Saiyan Broly arriving in Dragon Ball Legends, fans of Saiyans can finally get the Legendary Super Saiyan as a menace in the form of a Red Element striker. On top of being able to transform into the Legendary Super Saiyan, Broly is capable of boosting his damage purely by attacking, and may even prevent an enemy’s cover change with a nasty punishment counter. While this iteration of Broly has yet to make an impact in the overall state of the meta, fans might be wondering just who else they should try obtaining in order to create powerful setups. Among must-tries include a Nappa-Vegeta fusion, Baby’s form after absorbing Vegeta, an alternate version of Ultra Instinct Goku, and Gohan’s first foray into his Super Saiyan 2 form, all of which are now included on this list following its latest update.

19Revival Nappa (Purple, LL)

Long-Ranged Tank To Switch With A Decent Heavy-Hitter

In what appears to be a reenactment of a weakened Nappa’s death at the hands of Vegeta,Revival Nappa (Purple, LL)is a Revive unit that players can use to finish their Purple unit kit. Nappa can boost his damage and recharge his Unique Gauge on top of an anti-Destroy Card, coupled with another damage boost with a +100% Unique Gauge charge alongside an anti-Enemy Cover.

However, when he “dies” and switches to full-health Vegeta, this unit becomes a powerhouse. During the switch-up, Vegeta gets a limited +80% Damage boost while inflicting a -30% special moves debuff. The Prince also has a Cover Change punisher in the form of destroying one card with a draw speed debuff. As Vegeta, he can inflict three substitution counts on all Son Family opponents. While it can take a while to eliminate Nappa to secure a Vegeta revive, players can use this time to earn Special Skill Arts (Green) to maximize the unit’s effects.

Legendary Super Saiyan Broly - UL Purple

18Legendary Super Saiyan Broly (Purple, UL)

Immensely Useful Punishing Tank When Leveled Up

There’s a reason why Broly turning into the Legendary Super Saiyan has frightened even the likes of Goku and Vegeta. Players can see these benefits firsthand withLegendary Super Saiyan Broly (Purple, UL).Perhaps most frightening about thisvariation of the Legendary Super Saiyanis the natural buffs and debuffs that come with him as soon as the battle starts and as soon as he enters the field.

For instance, his Main Ability immediately grants him access to his Ultimate Arts Card, alongside nifty health and Ki heal. On top of that, he can also reduce enemy Ki on top of a massive -100% debuff to Ki Recovery. Meanwhile, his Unique Ability applies a damage increase buff, and damage received debuff as soon as the battle begins while getting health and restoration when Broly himself makes an appearance. He also punishes enemy switching, applying a Critical Rate debuff and disabling Elemental effects. When almost every move is punishable with a debuff, this Purple UL behemoth is definitely deserving of fear.

Decent Unit For Any Anti-Saiyan Team

Key to his toolkit is the aforementioned Lock-In ability, as this sub-count boost can not only disable Yellow fighters but even pave the way for the quick elimination of sub-50% HP fighters, or even to complete a Rising Rush finish. Not to mention, his Type Neutral transforms his character typing whenever the opponent has a Super Saiyan character – practically disabling their advantages – and works well to break a meta where a majority of characters are likely Saiyans anyway.

Prior to her claim to fame as Goku’s ever-reliable granddaughter inDragon Ball GT,Pan (Red, SP)already makes an appearance as an energetic grandchild inDragon Ball Super, with Pan already bornbefore Vegeta’s youngest, Bulla. Just like the name of her Unique Ability, “Earth’s Strongest Little Girl,” Pan is easily a Sparkling character that can contend with the meta for her support prowess.

Her Main Ability destroys two (2) random cards to immediately grant her access to her Special Move and Special Arts Card on top of Ki restoration, reduced sub counts, uncancellable Arts Draw Speed, and nullification of Unfavorable Elements. These practically force enemies to take pity on the little girl and let her hit them. And hit hard she does.
