At long last,Black Adamwill be brought to life by Dwayne Johnson, who aims to do the character justice. Now, new behind-the-scenes photos offer fans their best look yet at the Black Adam costume.

Black Adamgot its first preview during the DC FanDome event this past October. The preview revealed the hero in full costume, but fans only got a glimpse because the hood covered part of the outfit as well as the main character’s face. A couple of days ago, Johnson and Total Film revealed aclose-up look at Black Adam, but again, it was only a small glimpse meant to tease fans and remind them to keep an eye out during the week for more. Now, fans finally got a glimpse of the costume without any hidden aspects and they can see the look the filmmakers are going for inBlack Adam, which really matches the comic book costume very well. Total Film also released a few behind-the-scenes stills where fans can see a better look at the costume and ominous lighting.

There are stills that include the new hooded look for Black Adam, as well as shots without the hood that show how closely the suit resembles the outfit from the comics. There’s also a shot where Johnson is watching footage and taking mental notes. Johnson has previously expressed that he’s impressed what he see’s from Black Adam during the post-production, but he’s always pushing for the film to be as best as it can be.

Black Adam will not hesitate to kill, as the trailer showed him disintegrating an armed mercenary in the blink of an eye with his lightning magic. The dark hooded outfit for Black Adamwas a different approach and while fans weren’t able to actually see the costume, it still made the character look very cool.

The upcomingBlack Adamfilm has a lot of promise and if it does well, then it can only be good for DC moving forward. DC has been slacking behind Marvel only in the live-action movie department, so it’ll be nice to see them pull through. DC has a lot of characters, storylines, world-building, and compelling themes that can set it apart from Marvel. If DC were to stay on the dark route, its films and shows can exist in the same dark superhero genre asAmazon’sThe BoysandInvincible.
