Road To Glory also includes a “Coach Trust” feature that influences playing time and a transfer portal option if users aren’t happy in their current program.College Football 25’s third main mode, Road to the College Football Playoff, is a competitive option that sees players choose a university and “progress and level up” through divisions in exchange for beating tough opponents as they fight for a National Championship.

A wear-and-tear system affects individual players as a game progresses, requiring the user to manage their health, fatigue, and injury risk by using substitutions at the right times. The pre-snap recognition feature allows the user to read the field and their own stars before a play to choose whether to audible or to focus on certain players. Additionally, a homefield advantage feature adds an extra dimension for away teams, as they must battle against screen shakes, missing pre-play icons, and moving play art when the home crowd is at their loudest.

College Football 25also places lots of emphasison school traditions, with EA confirming that teams will have unique run-outs, rivalry rituals, and crowd chants to help recreate the sport’s electrifying spirit. Some of the chants were recorded using real, game-day audio, and schools' fight songs will also be heard in-game.
