10Midas
Midas is an engineer and one of the most prominent physicists in Aucerius and is a magic user inStar Ocean: The Divine Force. Midas has a very offputting disposition and can be very toxic when dealing with others; he was once a respected citizen in Aucerious but was exiled, vanishing from public record until reappearing beside Princess Laeticia. Midas is an expert semiomancer that can unleash devastating area attacks on the battlefield; unfortunately, Midas suffers from longbattle animationtimes, which falters his gameplay.
9Albaird
Albaird is one of the starting characters inStar Ocean: The Divine Forceand the loyal subject of princess Laeticia; he is a proud and astute young man with akuudere personalitytype who holds Laeticia’s protection above all else. Albaird excels at range combat using a chakram and powerful magical abilities.

On their first meeting, Albaird is distrustful of Raymond but slowly eases his suspicion through the game’s story. Laeticia and Albaird have a long history together, having grown up as childhood friends; there has never been a moment that Albaird has left Laeticia’s side and has sworn an oath as a knight to remain there till the end of time.
8Theo
Theo is a recently released DLC character in an update forStar Ocean: The Divine Force. Theo is a member of the Aucerious royal family and commander of the knights that protect the kingdom; he is a long-time friend of Albaird and the cousin of Laeticia, whom he is loyal to.
Players can obtain Theo as an optional character through Laeticia’s storyline but only as a guest when using Raymond. Theo is a fast-paced fighter who uses a halberd with mid-ranged attacks that deal heavy damage and can knock targets into the air.
7JJ
JJ is the second character released in the recent update alongside Theo; he is a robotic samurai warrior who is only available as an optional ally through Raymond’s quest line. JJ is a kind, calm, and respectful person who upholds honor above all else.
Raymond and the rest first meet JJ as he attempts to save his home from an attack. JJ’s main weapon is Japanese-styled katana which he uses in two distinct styles. The first is a protective stance where JJ can unleash powerful counter; the second style of JJ’s combat is filled with powerful, arcing strikes that charge and deal heavy damage to enemies.
6Malkya
Malkya is a female Trathen and is one of the early available characters inStar Ocean: The Divine Force. As the leader of the Nilhbeth Trathen, Malkya is quite respected and exudes a most regal attitude with royal kindness toward her allies.
Malkya also has a lengthy history with Laeticia and Albaird, knowing them since they were children; in addition, Malkya has a personal relationship with Midas, having met before first appearing in the story. Malkya utilizes broad arcing attacks with her claws in combat paired with powerful strikes making her a good frontline fighter.
5Nina
Nina is a villager from Delryk Village and serves as the only doctor; she is a bright and somewhat overly trusting young girl with abundant optimism. Nina is an early playable character inStar Ocean: The Divine Forceand is a skilled Iatrimancer, also considered a healer.

She is a rare commodity in Aucerious and joins Raymond and Laeticia on their journey to help the kingdom in hopes of discovering the cure for a vicious illness responsible for killing her father. Nina has wide-range healing abilities that affect both single targets and multiple allies at the same time.
4Elena
Elena is Raymond’s most trusted advisor and also the first mate of his ship. Elena comes from the planet Verguld where she was built by Arnold Robotics; as an android, Elena possesses a number of abilities, including enhanced strength, speed, and agility.
Although Raymond is the captain of the merchant ship, Ydas, Elena is indeed the brains that keeps the entire operation running smoothly. Elena’s calm and relaxed personality fits well with her Jack of All trades playstyle, where she uses multiple different weapon types in the game.
3Raymond
Raymond Lawrence is the captain of the merchant ship, Ydas, and one-half of the main protagonists of Star Ocean: The Divine Force. After being separated from his crew during an attack on his ship, he befriends Laeticia and agrees to help her on her mission to save her kingdom.

Raymond is a strong warrior but possesses a big heart, always open to the struggling of others; he constantly does anything he can to help people in need, which usually results in him charging in without thinking. Raymond uses a large greatsword to deal considerable damage to his opponents.
2Laeticia
Laeticia is a direct royal descendent in the Aucerious family and the next heir to the crown to the kingdom of Aucerious. She is loved by all the citizens and subjects of Aucerious and portrays herself as a kind and thoughtful individual.
However, Laeticia is entirely capable of protecting herself, being a fierce fighter with above-average speed and sword skills. When her country was threatened by a bordering threat, Laeticia set out to find help which is when she met Raymond.
1Marielle
Marielle is a Lieutenant of the Astoria battleship and a first officer serving directly under Bennet Maudsley; she was on board when the ship shot down the Ydas and, through a series of events, wound up on the planet Aster IV. Marielle is an astute and admirable person who takes her duty seriously, placing it above her dreams and desires.
She was trained by her grandfather and grandmother in both close-quarters and ranged combat, coming from the illustrious line of the Kenny family. Marielle can utilize firearms and hand-to-hand combat in the game, making her a very versatile character and a favorite amongJRPG fans.
