Rockstar Games has yet to even announce thatGrand Theft Auto 6exists, but that hasn’t stopped franchise fans from tearing apart the recently releasedGTA Trilogyin the search for clues. The latest potentialGrand Theft Auto 6Easter egg was spotted in the definitive edition ofGrand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and while it’s legitimacy is certainly up for debate, it is an interesting image nevertheless.
The image in question can be found inGrand Theft Auto: San Andreas - The Definitive Edition, and comes in the form of a picture of a house. While some think that the house is likely pulled fromGrand Theft Auto 5, it seems players are having difficulty locating it in the game. Others believe that the house is meant to look like a house from Florida, finding images online of Floridian houses that match what it looks like, and they are using it as evidence thatGTA 6will be set in theMiami-inspired Vice Cityas has been rumored for years.

The photographs and paintings in theGrand Theft Auto Trilogygames have included nods to other Rockstar Games titles, like theRed Dead Redemption 2Easter eggthat was also found inSan Andreas. However, it could still be a pretty big leap to assume that this image is aGTA 6screenshot or is representative of what the game will be like, as some fans are assuming.
This isn’t the first time thatGTA Trilogyplayers have said that they’ve found aGrand Theft Auto 6Easter egg in the collection. Mere hours afterGTA Trilogylaunched, fans made a beeline to somebillboards inGrand Theft Auto 3that teased Vice City in the original release. The billboards have been altered inGTA Trilogyto show a plane departing from Los Santos, which led fans to two possible conclusions about what the billboard could represent.
One theory was that the updatedGrand Theft Auto 3billboard was meant to represent that Rockstar’s next game would be theGrand Theft Auto 5next-gen ports, but others have looked more into the fact that the plane appears to be departingfromLos Santos as opposed to arrivingtoit. This has led some to believe that Rockstar is teasing that fans will finally be leavingGrand Theft Auto 5soon, but like with this supposedGTA 6screenshot, it’s quite possible that fans are reading a bit too much into things.
Ultimately, the speculation and fan theories will continue until Rockstar Games itself decides to revealGrand Theft Auto 6, but withGrand Theft Auto 5andGTA Onlinecoming to PS5 and Xbox Series X next year, it’s highly unlikely thatGTA 6news will come anytime soon.
Grand Theft Auto 6is rumored to be in development.
