ShiinaBR, a known leaker in theFortnitecommunity, shared that update v28.01 will be released in mid-December, and it’ll include the long-awaited Winterfest content.FortniteSeason OGwill end on December 2, and the next chapter will start the following day. Since updates tend to come out on Tuesdays, it’s likely that the update will become available on December 12, so that the Winterfest event can go live on December 13 once daily quests update. However, this is just an estimate based on past years and leaked information.
When Can Players Expect Winterfest to Start?
For the past couple of years,Fortnitehas allowed fans to open a present a day, starting 12 days before Christmas. It is unknown if Epic Games will follow this same tradition this year, but if it does, gamers can expect the Winterfest event to start on Wednesday, December 13.
Winterfest 2022 included free items, the return of the Snowball Launcher and the Present item, and Sgt. Winter as a themed NPC. Players got to unlock tons of cosmetic items last year, and this included great-looking skins such as Arctic Adeline and Sled Ready Guff. In total, they received three sprays, three lobby tracks, two skins, two gliders, two wraps, one harvesting tool, one contrail, one back bling, one emote, and one emoticon. Once the new chapter update comes out, dataminers will be hard at work trying to find as much information as possible on any upcoming Winterfest rewards and Item Shop cosmetics.
