Each newGenshin Impactupdate brings tons of new content such as new playable characters, weapons, and events. Updates usually last for approximately six weeks, however, developer HoYoverse has already confirmed that the three first Sumeru updates, including the ongoing version 3.0, will be one week shorter.

This adjustment was made in order to get the game back on its usual update schedule after the three-week delay that happened duringGenshin Impact2.6. Even though the updates are considerably shorter, they should host the usual number of events.

Genshin Impact’s official Twitter account has confirmed a new event that will arrive in the upcoming days. The event is called “Lost Riches Event: Trade Treasure for Mini Seelie” and it willallow players to partner with a Seelieand seek out treasures that can be exchanged in the Event shop for commemorative event gadgets such as five different Seelies. These mysterious creatures can be found all over Teyvat, and they usually have their own Seelie statue. Following them to their respective statue will usually reward players with various types of chests.

The event will give additional rewards such as precious Primogems, Talent ascension materials, weapon materials, Hero’s Wit, Mystic Enhancement Ores, and Mora.Developer HoYoverse has introduced similar eventson multiple occasions in the past. Players will be required to check the treasure map in Ulman’s Treasure book. Following the map will allow players to reach the treasure and each day the map will show a different location.

Digging out the treasure will reward players with Ancient Iron Coins that can be used in the upcoming event shop. After completing the event, players will have the option to choose and keep one of the five different Seelies that can accompany them in theirjourney through the world of Teyvat. Multiple replies in the comment section are asking HoYoverse to make some adjustments to Seelie’s mechanics in order to make them more interactive.

The event will start on September 2, and it will stay for 17 days before ending on September 19. Multiple replies in the comment section seem to be satisfied with HoYoverse decision to re-run the Seelie event, and they hope that the treasures are located in the new Sumeru region which has become a fan-favorite. A big part of the community has stated thatdeveloper HoYoverse exceeded their expectationsas the new major region took the exploration experience to the next level.

Genshin Impactis available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, and a Nintendo Switch version is in development.
