Genshin Impacthas officially confirmed a brand new character named Yae Miko for the upcoming update 2.5 which should arrive mid-February. Leaks and rumors are slowly becoming a part of the gaming experience when it comes toGenshin Impact, and Yae Miko is no exception.
EachGenshin Impactupdate has its beta phase which usually starts once the preceding patch arrives. The 2.5 beta phase started the dayGenshin Impactupdate 2.4officially launched. The beta usually contains most of the content that players will face once the update hits the live servers.

A recent update by a credible leaker named abc64 has revealed the feedback from one of the beta testers who apparently claims that Yae Miko’s current kit is much weaker than expected. There are multiple problems including subpar damage and long cooldowns. However, Yae’s greatest issue seems the fact that she’s focused on single target damage which was revealed inanotherGenshin Impactgameplay leak. She also has issues generating energy which is not as big of a problem since her Elemental Burst cooldown seems to be very long. Another character, Yoimiya, had similar problems and even though she’s a flashy DPS character, most players shy away from picking her up nowadays because of the same issues that Yae currently has.
The fact that her ascension stat is Crit rate led most players to believe that she would most likely be a strong DPS character in the game which is unusual for a Catalyst user. She is also confirmed to be a new Electro Vision holder. Her elemental skill will allow her to move rapidly, leaving behind “Lethal Sakura” which periodically deals damage to one nearby enemy. This means that she could also havestrong sub-DPS capabilities.
When it comes toYae Miko’s talent materials, the leak confirms that she will be using talent ascensions dropped by La Signora. AnotherGenshin Impactleak has revealed four out of six constellations for this character:
Genshin Impactis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is currently in development with no confirmed release date.
