Genshin Impact’s latest addition to the playable roster,Furina, brings a wide range of abilities, making her a versatile unit suitable for various team compositions. She can serve as a buffer thanks to her Elemental Burst, function as a sub-DPS, or act as a healer with herdifferent Arkhe mechanicsthrough the duration of her Elemental Skill. This flexibility opens up numerous team options that can benefit from an added sub-DPS, even without including a dedicated healer.

In general, it’s best to have a main DPS carry character in the team while focusing on characters with talents that have long durations to synergize with Furina. She works exceptionally well with Archon characters, many Fontaine characters with their HP drain and gain mechanics, and some F2P-friendly characters inGenshin Impact. Here are some viable Furina team compositions showcasing her with different Elemental reactions and a wide range of characters that can synergize with her.

Furina

1Furina + Neuvillette + Yae Miko + Zhongli

Pairing Furina and Neuvillette in a team composition brings about one of the best synergies, extending beyond their close connection in the story. Their gameplay mechanics complement each other, offering more than just the Hydro resonance. Neuvillette’s charged attack allows him to efficiently gain Fanfare stacks by depleting his HP, which can be replenished through collecting orbs using his Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst. Furina’s summons also assist in maintainingNeuvillette’s 4-piece set bonusfrom the Marechaussee Hunter’s artifact set. This synergy enables Neuvillette to remain on the field for longer periods without the need for frequent character swaps to refresh Furina or other off-field talent durations.

Yae Miko is another excellent character to pair with Furina, providing long-lasting off-field DPS andfacilitating the Electro-Charged reactionfor Neuvillette, which is ideal for his kit. Additionally, Zhongli offers excellent shielding capabilities in this composition, which is especially valuable since there isn’t a dedicated healer. His abilities provide resistance to interruption during Neuvillette’s charged attacks and further debuff the enemies' Elemental RES. Overall, in this team composition, Furina will primarily remain in her Ousia Arkhe for sub-DPS, but may occasionally swap to Pneuma, especially when Zhongli and Yae Miko’s HP approaches the 50% threshold. To get fanfare stacks faster, players may also want to consider Baizhu over Zhongli, since he can heal, and help with Neuvillette’s resistance to interruption as well.

Hydro

2Furina + Hu Tao + Yelan + Venti

For players looking to create a Vaporize team composition with Furina, an effective approach involves utilizing Hu Tao and Yelan to achieve a high damage ceiling. While Hu Tao isn’t a Fontaine character, she possesses an inherent HP gain and drain mechanic within her kit, allowing her to accumulate Fanfare stacks more rapidly, similar to Neuvillette. The fact that both Hu Tao and Yelan benefit fromHP scaling makes Hydro Resonancehighly valuable for the majority of the characters in this team composition.

To complete this lineup, Furina can be paired with Anemo Archon Venti, whose exceptional support abilities include crowd control, debuffing, and providing additional energy particle generation as a battery character to ensure consistent uptime of Yelan and Furina’s Bursts. It’s worth noting that Venti’s crowd control abilities might not synergize well with Hu Tao when facing enemies that aren’t considered “heavy,” as Hu Tao may struggle to land hits on enemies lifted in the air. The effectiveness of this choice may depend on the specific enemy types encountered. Alternatively, characters like Kazuha, Sucrose, or Lynette could be considered to replace Venti.

3Furina + Wriothesley + Diona + Kazuha

Furina and Wriothesley can form an excellent synergy in a Perma-Freeze team composition. In this setup, Furina will maintain the Hydro application herself, primarily staying in her Ousia Arkhe to consistently apply Hydro to enemies with her summoned allies. Diona serves as the dedicated healer in this team composition, reducing the need for Furina to swap to Pneuma for healing. Additionally, Diona contributes by providing shielding and acting as a battery for Kazuha and Furina’s Elemental Bursts in particular.Instead of Diona,Charlotte, in particular with her C1 is also a very viable option.

It’s important to note that while Wriothesley may not excel against all types of opponents, especially against large groups of weak enemies, having asupport character like Kazuha, who can provide crowd control to group enemies, can be quite advantageous. Nevertheless, this team composition is particularly effective against boss enemies, as even without crowd control, Kazuha can bring substantial benefits to the team by buffing the team’s Elemental DMG similar to Furina and debuffing the enemies with the Viridescent Venerer artifact set. Overall, for a Freeze team composition, this team has strong synergy among the characters. Players who lack Wriothesley may also consider using Ayaka, although they will lose the self-HP gain and drain mechanic in the process.

Fontaine Emblem Final

4Furina + Cyno + Raiden Shogun + Nahida

A Hyperbloom team featuring Furina can be an effective choice, especially when paired with two Archons, namely Raiden Shogun and Nahida.Raiden Shogun and Nahida already possess great synergyfor creating Hyperbloom with a Hydro character, and Furina seamlessly fits into this role. Beyond facilitating elemental applications for the reaction, both Nahida and Raiden Shogun offer team buffs, with Raiden Shogun also doubling as a battery character and Nahida potentially serving as a debuffer when equipped with the Deepwood Memories artifact set.

Cynotakes on the role of the primary Main DPS in this team composition, but it’s possible to substitute him with another DPS character who can enhance the Hyperbloom reaction. If players have unlocked Furina’s sixth constellation, she can even become the primary DPS, freeing up a slot for another Hydro or Dendro character of their choice, while Furina assumes the role of a hyper carry for the team.

Genshin Impact Furina + Neuvillette, Yae Miko, Zhongli

5Furina + Fischl + Sucrose + Yaoyao

Furina, while not a F2P character herself, can effectively complement other F2P characters that players have obtained freely throughout their journey in Teyvat. A great example of such a team composition includes Fischl, Sucrose, and Yaoyao alongside Furina, aiming to maximize the benefits of the Hyperbloom reaction.

Fischl in this compositionperforms a role close to Yae Miko, but her build can be tailored to provide more on-field utility or support Furina, depending on player preferences. Sucrose functions similarly to Kazuha, offering the team various buffs, crowd control, and potential energy generation similar to Fischl, especially if players have access to some of Sucrose’s constellations. Yaoyao serves as the dedicated healer of the team while also supplying off-field Dendro application. With Yaoyao’s healing abilities, Furina can predominantly stay in Ousia Arkhe, as Yaoyao can easily maintain healing for the team.

Genshin Impact Furina + Hu Tao, Yelan, Venti
