TheAORUS Z790 X Gen motherboards are listed on the Gigabyte website, and they boast of compatibility with next-gen Intel Core processors. It’s known that Intel is going to introduce its 14th Gen processors in the near future, but it is unclear if it will use the same LGA 1700 socket. Intel first introduced the socket with its 12th-gen CPUs early last year and continued to use it for the 13th-gen processors as well.

The Gigabyte website hints at Intel sticking with the LGA 1700 socket once again. While the Gigabyte website does not specifically mention the 14th-gen processors, it states the AORUS Z790 X Gen motherboards are compatible with “Intel Core 13th and next-gen processors.” This will be the first time in a long time that Intel has used thesame socket for three generations.
