Thor’s mighty weapon Mjolnir fromGod of War Ragnarokhas been recreated by one avid fan using the power of a 3D printer. Thor and Mjolnir were both originally parts of Norse mythology that the game used as inspiration for the Norse era of the long-running franchise. Though Norse mythology is the source, theGod of War Ragnarokversions of Thor and Mjolnir differ from their origins.
The first glimpse that players are able to see of Thor and Mjolnir is in a secret ending inGod of Warfrom 2018. In the short teaser, Thor is seen walking up to the home of Kratos and Atreus while showing off the slightest glimpse of the mighty hammer. A replica of Mjolnir was even included in the collector’s andJotnar edition ofGod of War Ragnarok.

One gamer loved the hammer so much that they decided to create their own version of the weapon using a 3D printer. In a post made to Reddit, Fcastle35 shared an image that showed off a custom-made version ofGod of War Ragnarok’sMjolnir. The eager fan also added that they hand painted the item and wrapped it in genuine leather as well. In replies to the thread, they also confirmed that the hammer weighs roughly 2.5 lbs and took about a week of printing to complete. In another reply, Fcastle35 stated that they were currently working on the Leviathan Axe Kratos uses inGod of War Ragnarok, as well as a full-sized Mimir head.
Other fans of the series were blown away by the level of quality this user displayed in their creation. One person commented that the 3D-printed hammer was superior to the MCU version of Mjolnir, a comparison that was sure to come as the versions ofThor fromGod of War Ragnarokand the MCUare often compared against each other as well. Another user pointed out how Bifrost was casually in the background of the image.
God of War Ragnarokhas undoubtedly consumed many hours for plenty of gamers in the month since its release. Considering the 25-hour campaign and the variety ofquality side quests inGod of War Ragnarok, the game is already a time sink of its own. This user has dedicated even more of their personal time to create replicas of the in-game weapons. It will definitely be interesting to see how fans continue to make use of new technologies to display love for their favorite video games by crafting customized items to add to their personal collections.
