During E3 2021,Halo Infinitereceived a big showcase, and fans of the series are preparing themselves for the holiday release in various ways. One fan, in particular, has created concept art for a Spartan wearing Elite armor and vice versa.
Elites and Spartans have been central to theHaloseries since the very beginning and they have changed a lot in appearance sinceHalo: Combat Evolved. Both Spartans and Elites are highly skilled in combat and they both have fittingly protective armor sets in eachHalotitle. Redditor EasySneezy123 recently gaveHalofans an idea of what human armor made by Elites and Elite armor made by humans would look like.

The Redditor in question used leftover assets fromHalo Onlineto generate the Elite and Spartanimages.Halo Onlinewas primarily handled by Sabre Interactive, but 343 Industries made contributions to the canceled multiplayerHaloproject as well. The armor set being used for this Reddit fan concept is the Cerronsi set with slight alterations. The armor sets are apparently supposed to have tons of flashy light strips all over them, but the textures are not present in the only build ofHalo Onlineand aren’t included in the fan concept.
The Spartan version of Elite armor in EasySneezy123’s Reddit post is a lotshinier than typicalHaloSpartan armorand it evokes memories of certainHalo 5: Guardiansarmor. Alternatively, the Elite version of UNSC armor is reminiscent of something from theWarhammer 40Kuniverse. This subtle armor swap is a unique change that provides a new take on both species' from theHalouniverse.
Halo Infinite’s multiplayer gameplay revealduring E3 2021 teased several armor sets, but these ones were not among them.Halofans who want to play as a Spartan in Elite gear or vice versa will have to live vicariously through this Reddit concept until 343 Industries makes it a reality. While this armor set may never be featured inHalo Infinite, many fans of the Reddit concept are speculating the inevitability of an armor swap eventually happening in theHaloseries.
ThisHaloconcept from EasySneezy123 has inspired a lot of dialog on Reddit where fans lament the lack of Elites in the UNSC. InHalohistory, the Elites fight for the Covenant in an attempt to defeat the Spartans, butMaster Chief has also foughtalongside the powerful species. Although the opportunity for Elites to wear UNSC gear inHalo 3has already been passed, a futureHalotitle may offer armor similar to this Redditor’s concept art.
