If the game is released, there are a lot of features the game could pull from all theHarry Pottermovies. Here are 5 of the most talked about features the community wants to see in theHarry Potter RPG.

Dementors
Dementors have been a pivotal part of theHarry Potterfranchise ever sinceHarry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. These gliding, wraith-like creatures feed on happiness and are widely accepted in theHarry Potteruniverse as some of the foulest and most dangerous things in the world. They make those around them lethargic and depressed, and they can even suck the soul directly from a wizard leaving them in a vegetative state.
All we know about Dementors points to the fact that they would make a great boss (or bosses) in theHarry Potter RPG. They could hinder certain abilities for players and require specific spell casting like the patronus spell to add some variety to the game. Dementors would bring lots of nostalgia to theHarry Potter RPGand offer a challenge for more masochistic players that need abreak fromDark Souls.

Hogsmeade
One of the few things that is generally agreed upon is that theHarry Potter RPGis supposed to take place in the 1800sand players enter the game as a fifth year student at Hogwarts. If this is true, then Hogsmeade would be an interesting and fun addition to the game.
Hogsmeade is the only all wizard townin Britain, so players could explore what Hogsmeade was like in the 1800s. Since Hogsmeade is confirmed in the books to be founded in 1714, its occurrence in the game would not be out of the ordinary. It would offer plenty of artistic license for developers and a huge amount of joy for those players who always wanted to sneak off for a butterbeer or mulled mead. The game could also include a few of the secret passage ways that leads from Hogsmeade to Hogwarts referenced in the books and movies.
Quidditch
Quidditch has always been a favorite ofHarry Potterfans alike. The game is a fast paced, broom riding, brutal, fiasco of a sport; what’s not to love? It could be a completely separate mini game within theHarry Potter RPG. Players could opt to play it or not and they could even have a separate skill treedealing with Quidditch skills. They could bet money or items on games and it could even offer a multiplayer component. Quidditch would be a feature everyone would be looking for in theHarry Potter RPGand could offer some variety to the normal pace of the game.
Specialized Skills Based on Hogwarts classes
It is made apparent both through the books and movies that theclasses in Hogwartsall focus on something different and offer different skills for witches and wizards interested in different spells. Some are more specific than others but all deal with skills that could be implemented in the game.
For example, Defense Against the Dark Arts was a class that focused on defensive skills, meaning how to fight another wizard. There could be a branch on theHarry Potter RPGskill treethat specialized in defensive magic, which could be called Defense Against the Dark Arts. Players would be excited to see things like Potions class or Transfiguration or even Charms class referenced in the game. These references could also build useful skills and add variety to the game so that players aren’t just casting expelliarmus the entire time. Players would be able to choose what kind of magic they want to focus on and constantly be gifted callbacks to the movies by doing so.

The British Ministry of Magic
The Ministry of Magic was founded in 1707, succeeding from the previous Wizards' Counsel. It essentially acts as the United Kingdom wizarding world’s Government, with the mission of preserving magical law.
Another aspect of theHarry Potter RPGthat has been rumoredis the ability for players to choose an evil or good path. The ministry of Magic was everywhere in the movies and it should be in the game as well. It could offer relevant and interesting lore while also moving the story line along in a satisfying manor. Players could theoretically have a different relationship with the Ministry of Magic depending on the moral path they choose. Perhaps players that do not align with the Ministry of Magic can cast the Unforgivable Curses. Conversely, players that choose a more wholesome moral code might be able call on the Ministry of Magic for support in hard missions.
Nothing is certain as of yet but everything points towards theHarry Potter RPGbeing real and in development for some time in the near future. If it does come out soon, players would be happy to see these five features present throughout. Without them, the game may feel like it has been left wanting.
The Harry Potter RPGis rumored to be in development.
