Summary

AHonkai: Star Railchart shows how the game distributed its four-star characters since it arrived in April. Just like many other gacha-based titles, the characters inHonkai: Star Railcan be divided by rarity into two categories: five-star and four-star units.

Honkai: Star Rail’s five-star characters are the focal point of each update, and they all have their dedicated limited banner. They also run on a 90-wish pity which means that players are guaranteed a five-star drop within 90 wishes. Four-stars are much easier to obtain since their pity is capped at 10 pulls.

Each limited banner inHonkai: Star Railfeatures one five-star and three four-star characters any HoYoverse tends to never feature the same four-star units in consecutive banners. A Reddit user by the name of Minimum-Story has created an interesting chart that shows how the game distributed its four-star characters between the limited banners. This chart can help players determine when their desired four-star character might be available again. For example, the Wind user Dan Hengalready has multiple 7 banners which means that there is a very high chance that he will be part of one of the future updates. One of the reasons why Dan Heng didn’t appear in 1.3 could be the fact that the first banner cycle featured Imbibitor Lunae which is supposed to be the ascended Imaginary version of this four-star unit.

Honkai: Star Rail’s recent livestream eventconfirmed the arrival of two new five-star characters in the next update, Topaz and Jingliu. Topaz won’t be the only new character in the second banner cycle as the game confirmed the release of a new four-star named Guinaifen. She is expected to be a new Fire character that follows the path of Nihility which means that Guinaifen’s kit will allow her to apply debuffs on her enemies.

These debuffs can have different effects, from shredding their resistances to complete immobilization. The same banner cycle will alsofeature the fan-favorite Seelewho still holdsHonkai: Star Rail’s revenue record. This means that the second part of update 1.4 will showcase the game’s first double banner which will include the Quantum user Seele and the Fire character.

Both of these charactersfollow the path of The Huntwhich means that their kit is focused on dealing single-target damage. Based on the number of skipped banners displayed on the chart, fans assume that the first banner of update 1.5 could feature the Wind character Dan Heng, the Physical user Natasha, and the Lightning DPS Arlan.

Honkai: Star Railis available now for PC and mobile devices, with a PS5 version releasing on October 11th.
