The quest “White Goats Gone Missing” is part of the “Potential Princess Sightings!” quest series inThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. In this series of quests, players will help investigate rumors of sightings of Princess Zelda, who has gone missing since the Upheaval. To start this series of quests, players first need to visit theLucky Clover Gazette headquarters, which is located east of the Rito Village atcoordinates (-3260, 1771, 0118).
There, they will meet Traysi, the head editor of the Lucky Clover Gazette, and Penn, a rookie reporter. Traysi will ask the player to accompany Penn as he checks out the reports of these Princess Zelda sightings and offers pieces of theFroggy Armor Setas a reward for these investigations. She tells Link to head to each of Hyrule’s stables to follow up on these sightings and learn what he can from the locals. How to Start the White Goats Gone Missing Quest in Tears of the Kingdom
To start the “White Goats Gone Missing” quest, players should head to theTabantha Bridge Stableatcoordinates -2917, 0560, 0169, on the eastern side of the Tanagar Canyon, at the entrance to theTabantha Great Bridge. Once there, the player should talk to Penn who will inform them that a herd of white goats that had previously been housed at the stable has gone missing.
After speaking with Penn, the player should go and speak with the goatherder,Chork, who is standing nearby. From Chork, Link learns that he had followed Princess Zelda’s recipe for a special goat feed using whole freshHylian Pine Cones, but the goats have spit up their food and run away. He mentions that he lost the recipe during a storm and has been making the feed from memory. The player’s objective is to locate both the missing recipe and the missing goats, both of which are in the same location.
Once the player has spoken with Chork, they can check in with Penn, though this step is not necessary. Unsurprisingly, Penn will suggest looking for both the goats and the recipe. The player should exit the goat pen and will immediately notice a trail of wholeHylian Pine Conesleading northeast of the stable and into the nearbySeres Scablands, an area filled withlarge, mushroom-like trees.
The player should follow the trail of pine cones, keeping an eye out for the sparkles on the ground to locate the pine cones while in the high grass. They should keep following the trail until they eventually reach a herd of white goats hiding behind one of the large mushroom-like trees. The goats can be found at coordinates-2550, 0408, 0150in theSeres Scablands.
The player will also notice a large glass bottle among the goats and should walk up and interact with it. This will trigger a cutscene where Chork runs up and expresses his joy at finding his goats. He examines the bottle and discovers that he has been making thePrincess’s recipeincorrectly. It turns out that the pine cones should have been ground into a powder all along. Chork thanks the player for finding the goats and the recipe, promising to take better care of his goats now that he knows the correct preparation method. Shortly after the cutscene, Penn will arrive and give the player50 Rupeesas a reward for completing the quest.
