FortnitexStar Warsbrings Chewbacca to the hands of players, but not just as an outfit, as a fully-fledged Wookiee in need of assistance in Battle Royale. Upon dropping from the Battle Bus inFortnite, players can locate andsave Chewbacca, and in rescuing him, they will be given his life debt, meaning he will become a valued companion to the player until death, or Victory Royale has been acquired.

How To Find Chewbacca
Chewbacca can be found at any of the 6 Imperial roadblocks that have been set up for theFortnitexStar Warsevent. These roadblocks will spawn every single match, but the only thing that changes is where Chewbacca can spawn. Once inside the Battle Bus, players should look around in search of a blue smoke cloud. This blue smoke cloud indicates the location that Chewbacca is at, and where players will want to land to assist him. Considering the event is fairly new, Chewbacca will be in high demand, so try and be the first to land here by locating the blue smoke first.

How To Recruit Chewbacca
To make Chewbacca an ally, players will need to land at the Imperial site that he is located at, and eliminate the Stormtroopers there. There should always be two, and Chewbacca will do his best to fight them as well. Once both are defeated, Chewbacca will triumphantly roar and drop a Wookiee Bowcaster, before pledging himself to the player that eliminated the Stormtroopers. Chewbacca is now a companion, and no gold was needed in the process. Chewbacca cannot be revived or rebooted if eliminated, but he can be dismissed if players recruit another NPC found around the map.
What Can Chewbacca Do?
Chewbacca is a pretty useful companion, as not only is he distracting for his large height, but he often drops support items, such as:
Chewbacca will also emote if the player does so, but more importantly, he will shoot at other players within range of his Wookiee Bowcaster Mythic. It’s always great to have an ally, especially a Wookiee with a life debt.
