CD Projekt Red has spent the past several months discussing the future of theWitcherfranchise, including a next-gen port ofThe Witcher 3and the nextWitchersaga. It’s leftCyberpunk 2077fans wondering whether CD Projekt Red had moved on from its most recent game. A new leak may indicate the opposite, however, as a massive amount of dialogue from what’s described asCyberpunk 2077’s upcoming DLC has been shared online.

The files were originally shared on theCyberpunk 2077subreddit /r/FF06B5, though the original has since been deleted. The files, which have been reviewed by Game Rant, include six main quest folders and seven additional quest folders full of dialogue text files. For example, the folder named “q301” contains text files with titles including, “holocall_hook,” “border_investigation,” “stadium,” “crashsite,” “shuttle_arrival,” and more. The implication is that these files contain a substantial amount of dialogue from seven main missions included in an upcomingCyberpunk 2077DLC.

Without getting into too many details of the leaked dialogue, the plot of the DLC appears to heavily involve a character named Songbird. Songbird is a character that’s absent fromCyberpunk 2077, though she has a fleshed-out model and a diverse range of customization options found within the game’s files. Only taking the files into consideration, it would be easy to assume Songbird was a major character inCyberpunk 2077. Her absence indicates she was either cut, orCD Projekt Redhad big plans for her in the future.

Much of the dialogue is difficult to parse since it’s removed from the context of the game. However, there’s enough to say that players will be traveling into the Combat Zone of the Pacifica region, a region players have previously been kept out of. Further, there’s a new epilogue forCyberpunk 2077involving Hanako, an expansion on theArasaka ending.

It’s going to take some time forCyberpunk 2077enthusiasts to parse through the leak, pick up meaningful pieces of dialogue, and evaluate how much of the DLC’s story has been revealed. In the meantime, it’s safe to say that CD Projekt Red has asubstantial expansion forCyberpunk 2077in the works filled with new quests and content.

There’s currently no official information regarding CD Projekt Red’s plans forCyberpunk 2077going forward. The latest roadmap confirmed updates, improvements, and free DLCs in 2022, but no official announcements have been made since February’s next-gen update. AllCyberpunk 2077players can do is sit back and hope an announcement is coming soon, perhaps during theSummer Game Fest live event on June 9.
