Jujutsu Kaisenchapter 252 is finally around the corner, and fans have been eagerly waiting for it in anticipation for 2 weeks now. Towards the end of the previous chapter, Maki made her grand entrance in the battle against Sukuna, and this amazing fight is now set to continue, with Maki showcasingher incredible might against Sukuna, and of course, the King of Curses trying to fight back against yet another contender.

Maki Vs Sukuna Begins
JJKchapter 251 was absolutely incredible, as it saw Yuta and Yuji put in amazing effort into beating Sukuna. It is safe to say that they did a great job and followed their plan perfectly, however, the only thing that they miscalculated was Megumi’s response to their help. Had Megumi taken Yuji’s hand, Sukuna would have been defeated right now. However, he had already given up all his will to live, and that is precisely why Sukuna was able to strike back with his world-splitting slash, and take down both Yuta and Yuji at the same time. Right there, Maki joined the battlefield and struck Sukuna with her split soul katana from the back side. This was an homage to how Toji attacked Gojo in the Hidden Inventory arc, and now, a battle between these two monsters is all set to continue.
JJKchapter 252 will focus on the battle between Maki and Sukuna. Fans must remember, first and foremost, that Sukuna is not at his full strength. In fact, he’s getting weaker with each passing chapter, especially since he was fighting againstYuji, who drained quite a lot of his cursed energy output, and at the same time, his control over his body as well. That is not all. Maki stabbing Sukuna with the split soul katana means that she dealt damage to the soul directly, just like Yuji, meaning that he got weaker after taking damage from her. This means that Maki will likely have the upper hand in the fight against Sukuna at the moment, and her incredible physical attributes will help her dominate the fight against him.
Of course, Sukuna is no pushover himself, and he is most likely going to hold his own, even if Maki is the dominant one in this battle. This is also a good place for Gege to showcase what Maki learned during the timeskip. Every single sorcerer has gotten stronger over this period, including the likes of Yuji and Yuta. Now, it is time for Maki to show what she achieved, how she trained, whether she managed to surpass Toji or not, and what her plan going forward in this battle against Sukuna is going to be.
Yuji and Yuta’s Fate
Undoubtedly,JJKchapter 252 will also focus on the battle between Yuta and Yuji. Fans know that these two characters were heavily involved in the fight against Sukuna until recently. They certainly managed to put on quite a show in this amazing fight, however, unfortunately, they were hit with the world splitting dismantle right at the end, and Sukuna saw to it that they fell in battle. When Sukuna hit them with this powerful technique, it was clear for the fans to see that they both took heavy damage. In the case of Yuta, the damage looks more severe, and he was sliced right across the torso, and the slice itself was seen emerging from his backside as well, which just goes to show how deep the cut really was.
In the case of Yuji, the damage was not as apparent, however, it is still quite deadly. Rika was also dealt some heavy damage, and all three of these individuals will most likely be focused on in JJK chapter 252. Fans will find out about their fates, and whether they died or survived. Of course, given that these characters are very important in the story moving forward, it is highly likely that they will survive.
This might confuse some fans, given that the world splitting dismantle is what killed Gojo, however, it must be remembered that Sukuna is far from full power, and his cursed energy output is dropping with each passing second. As such, there is a chance for this attack to be weak enough to allow them to barely survive, and that is what will most likely happen inJJKchapter 252.
In fact,JJKchapter 252 might even give the fans a glimmer of hope, as both Yuta and Yuji will most likely try to heal themselves using reverse cursed technique and rejoin the battle. In the case of Yuta, this is going to be much more complicated, given that Yuta took heavy damage and also lost his hand which he uses to connect with Rika. In the case of Yuji, however, things will be slightly easier. That said, healing from an injury that he took is going to take some time, and that is why Maki must absolutely do her best against Sukuna to make sure that both Yuji and Yuta get enough time to heal.
Sukuna Weakens Further
In JJK chapter 252, Sukuna will most likely weaken even further. His cursed energy output has been consistently dropping over the course of the last few chapters. The fact that he can take soul damage from Maki as well strengthens the idea that Sukuna will get weaker in the upcoming chapter, and it makes quite a lot of sense for Maki to be able to land some powerful hits on him. This is simply down to the fact that Maki possesses incredible physical attributes, thanks to her Heavenly Restriction, and even Sukuna cannot match her in that aspect, especially since he’s far from his peak at the moment.
As such,JJKchapter 252 could very well seeSukuna getting weakened even further, and this would then eventually set the stage for Yuji to take him down, when he does return. Things are looking incredibly exciting in theJJKmanga and fans can only hope that, as Gege returns, he illustratesthe fight between Maki and Sukunato be one of the very best in the series, and tackles the other plot points and fans have been waiting to be answered for 2 weeks now.
Thankfully, fans can rest assured thatJJKwill continue for a few weeks without any breaks, now that the series has returned from one. At the moment, fans are not aware of any breaks going forward, and, hopefully, JJK chapter 253 will drop next week, continuing the intense action of the battles between Sukuna and the sorcerers from Jujutsu Tech, and pushing the story even closer to its eventual end.
