The majority of cool weapons inLords of the Fallenhave requirements that greatly exceed the base stat values of the starting classes. It’s not uncommon to see an early-game sword or axe that needs 10 or even 20 extra points' worth of stats, which is why farming Vigor is so important early on.
Vigor drops after killing anything that moves inLords of the Fallen. While it might be tempting to simply go to areas with high mob densities, doing this might not be the most efficient use of one’s time. Luckily, there’s one very specific spot early in the game where players can get thousands of Vigor per minute while expending very little effort.
Best Vigor Farm in Lords of the Fallen
Players can earn roughly 600 Vigor in approximately 10 seconds by farming the Ardent Penitent nearthe Vestige of Blind Agathain Pilgrim’s Perch. This area comes right after the cliffside section past the Scourged Sister Daeltyh boss fight near the Vestige of Chabui, and it is one of the best Vigor farms in the entire game when it comes to time efficiency.
To kill the Ardent Penitent in 10 seconds or less, teleport to the Vestige and immediately sprint past him. Keep running forward, and before hitting falling down the ledge, make a sharp turn or dodge to the side. The Ardent Penitent, who should be charging at players by this point, should then fall off the ledge and die immediately. Take out the Pilgrim to the left, pick up the Vigor wisps, then return to the Vestige to do it all over again.
This spot is great for players who are missing a few thousand Vigorfor a weapon upgradeor a level-up. However, there’s one more farming in this same spot that should satisfy those who are in for the long haul.
Teleport to the Vestige, get rid of the penitent and pilgrims, then enter the Umbral realm. Husks and other Umbral monsters will continuously spawn here. The longer players stay in the Umbral, the higher the Vigor multiplier becomes. Once the multiplier hits 3.0x, Scarlet Shadows will appear.
Scarlet Shadows(also referred to as red reapers) drop anywhere between 3,000 and 9,000 Vigor, along with five Umbral Scourings. However, they are very hard to kill in a fair fight. As such, players should try to fling them off the platform by baiting them to the edgeand using Soulflay on them. Use the spine bridge and the beams near the platform to bait the reaper into position.
