Oreha’s Wellis currently the first and only Tier 3 Abyssal Dungeon in the NA/EU version ofLost Ark. Considering the pace at which this game’s player base is making it to Tier 3 and the current state of Honing, it only makes sense that there isn’t a ton of1325+ Item Levelcontent quite yet. That said, with the April Update’s inclusion of theBattle Pass, it doesn’t seem like the content is too far off.

Lost Ark - Clearing Out The Remaining Mayhem Legion In Aira’s Oculus

Now, the first level of Oreha’s Well,Aira’s Oculus, requiresLost Arkplayers tobe at least Item Level 1325andto be more than familiar with all the complex Raid mechanicsthey should’ve experienced in Tier 1 and Tier 2 Abyssal Dungeons. That said, compared toOreha Prevasa, something likeAira’s Oculushas a lot less to go over, so let’s get started.

First Section: Defeat The Converging Mayhem Legion

The first section of this long-awaited Tier 3 Abyssal Dungeon is actually pretty boring. It doesn’t have the flair of the Phantom Palace’sHall of the Twisted Warlordor the unique mechanics ofthe Gate of Paradise’s Sea of Indolence.

Players just run around the same sort of “tropical” area as they did during theMain Story Questfor Punika’s Dungeonsin its relatively-long storylineand clear out the Mayhem Legion Demons. Thankfully, it’s pretty short and doesn’t take long to get through this and right into theFrenzied CicerraBoss fight.

Lost Ark - Mid-Grab With Cicerra With The Rest Of The Party Attempting To Stagger Him

Second Section: Frenzied Cicerra

The first boss players will be up against inAira’s OculusisFrenzied Cicerra, and the “Frenzied” part of his name actually plays into the mechanics of his Boss fight as well. Essentially, every time this Boss is Staggered or incapacitated, he gains a stack of a Frenzy buff that increases his overall attack power. At three stacks, this buff gets absurd, andCicerra quickly becomes able to one-shot players with ease. So, the optimal outcome of this fight is to Stagger Cicerra as often as possible for free damage, while also keeping his Frenzy stacks low for survivability’s sake. But, how is a party supposed to do both of these things at once? Well, that’s where Cicerra’s main mechanic comes in, hisGrab Attack.

Important Mechanic: Grab Attack

After every second use of hisDirectional Flail Attack(described below),Cicerra will flash red and then attempt to grab any player standing directly in front of him. When grabbed, Cicerra won’t let go until aStagger Checkis passed. If the party Staggers Cicerra in time, he’ll drop the ally as well as lose a stack of his damage buff.

This is the primary way to stop Cicerra’s damage from ramping up to one-hit kill levels. Once he hits two stacks, players should start to look out for his Flail Attacks and intentionally stand in front of the Boss afterward to get grabbed or full-commit to a DPS race and focus on killing Cicerra as fast as possible while dodging any Grab Attacks he attempts.

Keep in mind, however, thatgetting grabbed after Cicerra reaches 3+ stacks is essentially a team wipe, as he’ll immediately slam the player into the ground, killing them and sending out a wide AoE shockwave that usually wipes the rest of the party as well.

Lost Ark - Fighting The Elite Enemy In The Third Section Of Aira’s Oculus

Also, players can just remove any Stagger SkillsorStagger increasing Runes until after this boss, but that’s much more involved and is sort of a workaround more than a solution.

Regular Attacks

Frenzied Cicerraonly has one gimmick to worry about, which might seem low considering this is the Tier 3 Abyssal Dungeon, but in exchange, he has a decent number of high-damaging Regular Attacks that players should be wary of.

Description

Directional Flail Attack

Frenzied Cicerra spins his glowing purple Flail above his head before slamming it down in four different locations to each of his cardinal directions (AKA North, South, East, and West). He finishes this attack with one final Flail drop in front of him with a large red telegraph, and it’s directly after this finisher that he’ll go for his Grab Attack as well. Be aware, the spots he hits with the Flail leave a bit of purple flame behind, and anyone who comes into contact with it gets a Debuff that increases the damage they take temporarily as well as lowers the Stagger Damage they inflict on the Boss.

Roar & Spin Attack

By far one of Cicerra’s most deadly attacks, but luckily is also the one with the most obvious indicator. When Cicerra stops what he’s doing and roars directly toward the sky, this attack is coming and players should get as far away as possible ASAP.After roaring, the Boss spins his Flail around a number of times, dealing high amounts of damage for every single spin a player is caught in. Unaware players who get caught in this once Cicerra has two stacks of his damage buff will quickly find themselves dead on the ground.

Dark Orb Summon

The Boss outstretches an arm and summons a large flaming purple Orb from it that follows a random payer. On hit, the Orb explodes and deals damage to everyone nearby. The player that has the Orb following them should always be kiting it away from the rest of the party.

Third Section: Destroy The Music Boxes Of Madness

After Cicerra is another mob-clearing section of Aira’s Oculus that is pretty similar to the first mob-clearing section, but a bit more tedious. Instead of just clearing out more Mayhem Legion soldiers, players also have to look around for the Music Boxes around the second part of the map, destroy them, and then clear the mobs that spawn out of them.

And, after the final Music Box is destroyed the party goes up against an elite enemy,Woopir the Mad Kingwho just looks like a carbon copy of Shamos from the Chaos Gates players grind to sell materialsand make more money. After the ten seconds it takes to beat this elite mob, they then suffer through a long vine-climbing animation before getting to the checkpoint that takes them face to face with the grotesque Demon that isSeto.

Lost Ark - Stunned By Seto’s Key Input Attack In Aira’s Oculus

Final Section: Lost Seto

Moving to everybody’s “favorite” Boss fight in all ofLost Ark, the battle against the creepy clown known asLost Seto.Seto is quite the unique fight as all of his attacks are based around wacky colors and circus equipment. He throws hula-hoops, runs around on a ball, has a lot of sparkly particle effects, and much more. Mechanically, Seto actually probably has the highest number of “systems” players should know about out of all the previous Abyssal Dungeon Bosses before him, including the Sea Dragon Drakhan.

Health Regeneration

This is an aspect of the Seto fight that isn’t talked about much but can make it so much more of a tedious battle than it needs to be.Seto has innate HP Regeneration, meaning he gets a small amount of HP back every second unless it’s counteracted by a status effect. And, while the HP recovered might look small, it can actually lead to having to drain three to four more HP bars than a party would have if they just used a single Bleed Rune.Any debuff that deals constant damage can work to counteract thissuch as Tripods that cause Skills to apply Fire damage. But,by far the most dependable method of nullifying this system is just making sure everyone has at least one Skill with the Bleed Rune equipped.

Feint Attacks

Throughout the fight, Seto will use this attack to spawn two blue telegraphs, one conical and one circular around him.Only one of these two telegraphs will actually inflict damage, and the other is a Feint. There are two methods for telling which one is the “Feint” attack:

Of course, because neither of these two telegraphs are hard to avoid, players can just get away from Seto entirely to avoid them 100 percent of the time.

Lost Seto In Lost Ark

Red & Black Totems

Throughout all phases of Seto’s fight, he’ll summon bothDisco BallsandCircus Ballsthat eventually dig into the ground and become eitherRed or Black Totems. If they’reRed, they’ll steadily drain the Skill resource of any players in their Aura, whether it’s Energy or Mana. If they’reBlack, they explode after a short time, dealing moderate damage.Breaking them of course cancels either of these actions.

Stage Change

Last up on Seto’s list of systems to remember is theStage Changehe does between his three different phases. In phase one, players fight Seto in a cave, but once he gets down to around 16 HP Bars, he’ll transport everyone to the second stage. This second arena is an assault on the eyes and takes a bit of getting used to. But, luckily, it does make it a bit easier to see his telegraphs. In any case, once Seto gets as low as his 6th HP Bar, he’ll start phase three by teleporting everyone back to the same cave as phase 1.

Explosive Ball Bombardment

While this isn’t necessarily a Wipe mechanic, it functions as one most of the time.To see it coming, players just need to look out for whenSeto is juggling while standing on a Circus Ball. Usually, this is the visual tell for the Key Input, but if that’s not occurring, then the Bombardment is coming.Seto drops wave after wave of Explosive Circus Balls down on the arena, creating an overlapping pattern of target-shaped telegraphs.Half of the rings of each target are safe zones, while the other half are danger zones. To easily avoid this visually confusing attack, players just need to take one step forward after each explosion,as this puts them right in one of the safe rings for the subsequent explosion.

Key Input

To start off, Seto hops onto his circus ball, and several spotlights shine down on him briefly while he juggles before every player is suddenly frozen in place, and a sequence of keys pops up on the screen. There’s a bar directly underneath these key inputs denoting how much time the player has left to finish typing the sequence in.Once time runs out, Seto summons a large circular red telegraph around him that will most likely insta-kill anyone hit by it. And, since players can’t move if they fail to type this in time, it’s basically a Wipe Attack. A few key things to note about this attack are:

The Bond of Love

This is by far the most important mechanic to keep an eye out for, especially on the [Hard] variation of Aira’s Oculus.Essentially, Seto can use this attack anytime after his first phase butonly does it once per battle. While fighting Seto, he’ll randomly summon red lightning down around him,and the text “The Bond of Love” should pop up above three of the four players who have just found themselves imprisoned. Then, Seto just stands still playing around while radiating these circles of pinkish energy while he waits for this mechanic to finish.During this time, the one player who wasn’t Imprisoned needs to go around and use basic attacks or multi-hit abilities to free all their teammates. After a short amount of time, red telegraphs appear underneath where these three allies are standing and one-shot them unless they’re freed in time to move out of the way. Then after a couple more seconds, the one player who freed the rest of the time will suddenly find themselves Imprisoned. But, instead of a purple bar that drains based on a number of hits, this one is actually based on damage done, so players should use their highest-damaging abilities to free their ally. In short:

Totem Clearing

Seto will teleport to the center of the arenaand start summoning tens of Circles Balls that pop out of the ground, bounce a few times, then become half-submerged into the ground and turn into either Black or Red Totems.Players need to focus on clearing out a good number of these Totems as they spawn, as once too many Spawn, Seto will use a Party Wiping attack. Routinely throughout this mechanic Seto also drops an Explosive Ball as well that players will need to evade by standing in safe zones.

While it may look like Lost Seto also has a lot of regular attacks that he uses, that’s actually a good thing. A good number of Seto’s attacks have large windows for the party to avoid and then inflict damage while his animation plays out.

Lost Ark - Queuing Up For Aira’s Oculus And Seeing The Hard And Normal Difficulty Options

Dual Hula-Hoop Toss

Seto takes out two rings and throws them both forward. The rings then stop after a certain distance and return back to Seto in a circle, one heading up and one heading down. Be aware that Seto is technically near the middle of the “circle” these rings are drawing in the air, so they do fly behind him before returning back in a straight line. The easiest way to avoid this attack entirely is to stay on his sides for the initial throw, then head to his front for the rest of it. During phase three these rings can do insane damage as well.

Ball Chase

Usually used during his second phase, Seto hops on a circus ball and starts chasing a player around at random. If he hits them, they take a moderate amount of damage, but if they avoid him long enough, Seto trips and falls over onto his face, leaving himself open to damage during his recovery.

Kickball

The Boss spawns a circus ball in front of his foot before winding up a large kick. Then, he kicks the ball, summons another one, and keeps kicking, aiming at a random player each time. These balls deal high damage on hit and bounce around for a while, even bouncing off walls. Will usually kick between three and five balls in total.

Ora Ora Ora

All JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure fans can likely guess what this next attack is from the name alone. Seto runs up to a player, stops, winds up a punch, and then proceeds to unleash a flurry of punches in their direction. Can be Countered if Seto glows blue while winding up. Deals high damage on-hit and even more damage in phase three.

Portal Kicks

Seto summons a rainbow-colored portal and descends into it. Then, after a second or two, many small red telegraphs appear all over the arena, with each one spawning a portal that one of Seto’s feet “kicks upward” out of. After a good number of kicks, a larger telegraph spawns which turns into a portal that Seto himself comes back up out of.

Standing Charge

Seto makes a pose while standing perfectly still before, surprisingly, charging forward without moving any limbs. He does this up to three times in a row, teleporting to different starting locations each time.

Jump Attack

The Boss puts his hands on his sides and makes a pose before flying up and off-screen, then coming back down shortly after on top of a random player.

Fan-Shaped Punch

Seto punches himself backward using a puff of smoke/air from his fist, then spins his arm around for a windup punch that creates three red telegraph lines on the ground in a fan shape. After these telegraphs fill, Seto sends three of his wrist braces outward in this fan shape, dealing moderate damage on-hit. There’s also a variation of this attack where Seto sends a bunch of his wrist braces out in a cone shape randomly, which doesn’t have the same red telegraph before it occurs.

Kiss of Death

Seto blows a kiss at the player closest to him, staggering them in place for a second before a multitude of portals open around both Seto and the player, summoning flying wrist bracers that all meet in the middle, usually where the player is stuck in place. Deals high damage and can one-shot in his third phase.

Enlarged Sweep Kick

Seto places a large red conical telegraph on the ground that fills quickly. When filled, Seto does a horizontal leg sweep, inflating his leg like a balloon just before the kick. Does moderate damage and knock up.

Normal & Hard Mode Differences

Despite the big Item Level Jump required to attempt the[Hard]Mode versions of Oreha’s Well (and all the failed Honing attempts), the two difficulty options aren’t all that different. Other than some general buffs to both HP and Damage, players can go intoAira’s Oculusexpecting just a bit more of a challenge when fighting eitherLost SetoorFrenzied Cicerra. But, to be more specific, here are the exact differences:

Because the Seto fight is so mechanically involved, there are actually quite a few Consumablesthat can make a difference in the player experience ofAira’s Oculus, such as:

Lost Arkis currently available on PC.
