AMinecraftuser has decided to create a rather large facsimile of one of movie history’s most famous props, namely the DeLorean car fromBack to the Future. Given that thegame doesn’t require a beefy PCand is available on a boatload of systems, Mojang’s sandbox title is extremely accessible for anyone who wants to play around in it. As such, players have spent years getting the most out of the blocky world and producing all sorts of unique and interesting builds, some of which pertain to other aspects of pop culture.

WithMinecraftcontinuing to be updated with new content, such as fan-voted mobs, there is evidently a lot of life left in this decade-old release. Much of this longevity comes from the community itself, which has spent the past ten years or so conjuring up ideas, and it’s this that has helped keep the game in the limelight. Of course, as the title consists of 1x1 blocks, it can be hard to make detailed constructions, which is why a lot of people will blow up their creations to much bigger scales.

That was certainly the case for Reddit user WheeldLight44, who recreated the instantly recognizable car from theBack to the Futureseries. In particular, the creator says that theirMinecraftversion comes from the second installment in the sci-fi comedy franchise. A number of images posted to the site show the reconstruction from a number of angles, displaying its much bigger size when compared to the original. The build even shows the interior of the car, as well as the flux capacitor that helps power the vehicle’s time travelling capabilities.

WhileBack to the Futuremay seem cheesy, especially in this day and age, its iconic status cannot be denied, with its endearing storyline and performances by Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd. As such, the films are considered classics, with the original installment regarded as the best of the trilogy, going down as one of the most famous films of the 1980s.

It’s things like this that makeMinecraftso popular, even after all these years. The fact that players can come along and recreate their favorite pop culture assets is what gives thegame near infinite replay value. There may come a time when the gaming community will finally move on from making creative projects, but for now, it seems fans are more than happy to keep building.

Minecraftis available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
