AnotherPokemon-themed airplane is set to take off in and around Japan, and this time, the featured pocket creatures in the jet’s decals are Exeggutor and Alolan Exeggutor. Already aspecialPokemonbrand ambassadorto a specific prefecture in the country, the Exeggutor-themed plane will begin its flight routes early in 2023.Over the years, The Pokemon Company has partnered with many airlines around the Asian region to bring thePokemonfranchise closer to its fans. With travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic being lessened in 2022, thePikachu Jet started flying from Singaporeand China, while otherPokemon-themed planes continued their routes around Japan within last year. And now that air travel is ramping up again, The Pokemon Company is likely taking the opportunity to grow the franchise’s exposure more and expand thePokemonfan experience into the air as well.RELATED:Pokemon GO Introducing Primal Reversion FeatureOn the official Japanese Twitter account ofPokemon, a post shared that a new Exeggutor and Alolan Exeggutor-themed plane will start flying around Japan in March 2023. The decked-out jet will originate from the Miyazaki prefecture through the local airline Solaseed Air. This is the area in Japan where theGrass dual-type pocket creaturesarePokemongoodwill ambassadors. According to the site, the plane’s decals will feature the images of both Pokemon alongside elements like the sun, ocean waves, and flowers that reflect the warm atmosphere of the Miyazaki prefecture. The website also shared a brief 3D video that showcases the plane’s overall look and how it will potentially be seen in real life.
Fans will likely recall that thefirst Exeggutor-themedPokemonplaneto take to the skies was also done in partnership with Solaseed Air back in 2020. Now, the partnership continues, and The Pokemon Company seems keen to update the designs inside and outside the plane. The interior of the jet will also be decked out in Exeggutor and Alolan Exeggutor elements. This includes the cups and headrests that passengers will be using during the flight, and the aprons that the flight attendants will wear during their shifts.
Unfortunately, thePokemon-themed will only fly around specific local routes in Japan. For fans of Exeggutor and Alolan Exeggutor, this means they will have to travel to the country then book flights around its different areas to be able to ride the special jet. Hopefully The Pokemon Company will also partner with more international airlines in the future to bring this uniquePokemonexperience to its fans all around the world.
