Dr. Vegapunk is undoubtedly the smartest character inOne Piece. He made his debut in the series in the Egghead Island arc, which is a huge indication that,One Piecehas entered the final saga. For a long time, fans believed that Vegapunk was an old man, but when Lilith introduced herself as Vegapunk, it surprised a lot of the fans.
Thankfully, this confusion was cleared up in the subsequent chapters. One of the big revelations of the arc was thatVegapunk has six different bodies or satellites. All these satellites are significant to the story, and fans can expect all six to be heavily involved in the Egghead Island arc.

The Six Satellites
According to the members of CP0, Vegapunk created six satellites in order to increase his output. Each body has a specific trait that separates one from the others. The six satellites of Vegapunk are as follows: 1. Shaka, 2. Lilith, 3. Edison, 4. Pythagoras, 5. Atlas, and 6. York. The first satellite is known as Shaka “The Good,” which is because of his personality. So far, Shaka is the only satellite that has not been hostile toward the Straw Hat Pirates. He has talked about Oharaand the ancient kingdom in great detail, which makes him the most standout satellite yet.

Lilith was the first satellite to be introduced in the series. She is known as Lilith “The Evil,” which is due to her malicious nature as she doesn’t hesitate to use other people for her own gains. So far, Lilith has received a lot of screentime and that won’t be changing anytime soon. The interesting thing about Lilith is that she looks a lot likeVinsmoke Sora, who is Sanji’s mother.This has caused many debates within the community, as she bears a rather eerie resemblance to her. Furthermore, like in the Legend of Sora, Lilith used a giant robot to fight the “evil” people. Many fans wonder if Vegapunk used the Lineage Factor of Vinsmoke Sora to create Lilith, which sounds bizarre, but Oda has done far more amazing things. Overall, Lilith and Shaka will be the two satellites to keep an eye on.
Satellites Three and Four
Vegapunk’s third satellite is Edison “The Thinker.” As the epithet suggests, Edison’s job is to come up with new ideas for inventions. InOne PieceChapter 1065, while Lilith was busy gawking at the battle, Edison was busy researching. In a short period of time, he came up with several ideas. So he flew away and started jotting down his new ideas.

The fourth satellite is Pythagoras “The Wisdom,” who seems to be in charge of analyzing the data and making notes. Pythagoras was completely focused on what was happening in the fight between the Straw Hats and Jimbei’s Seraphim. It is fair to say that he is responsible for doing research on a test subject, which allows Vegapunk to perfect it.
Violence and Greed
Atlas is the fifth satellite of Vegapunk, and it has the moniker “The Violent.” She was introduced in chapter 1062, and true to her reputation, it didn’t take long for her to become enraged. She punched Luffy without any problems and then proceeded to punch a huge holographic monster.
The sixth and final satellite is York “The Greed.” York didn’t appear in the story until chapter 1065. Her job seems to be different in comparison to the others. When Edison left to work on his new ideas, he asked York to eat some food and to use the washroom. This means that York’s body is linked to the other five in some way. In the chapter, York didn’t do any kind of work. Instead, she only ate, used the restroom, and then slept. It seems that York’s purpose is to take care of the bodily needs of the other satellites, as they’re always working.
What Is Their Role?
All six satellites of Vegapunk are currentlyunder threat, as CP0 assassinsare very close to Egghead Island. While the satellites do have modern technology, it is hard to see them winning against the likes of Lucci, Kaku, and Stussy. Shaka has already told Dragon that he believes that his end is nigh, so he might be preparing to divulge the secrets of the World Government and maybe even formulating a plan to possibly wriggle out of the situation.
The best way to protect the satellites would be to earn the favor of the Straw Hat Pirates and Shaka seems to be working on it already. In chapter 1065, he was seen talking to Sanji’s group and asking them about Egghead Island. Shaka also told them that there used to be a civilization that was very advanced for its time, and it existed 900 years ago. Shaka was talking about the ancient kingdom, which was destroyed by the founding members of the World Government. With the new details about the kingdom, it is perfectly obvious why the other countries wanted to eradicate it. Given the fact that Shaka is talking to the Straw Hats about the past, it seems that the satellites might end up being destroyed whilethe real Vegapunk escapes with the Straw Hatsand Bonney. At the moment, there are too many questions but no answers. The fans are patiently awaiting the release of the next chapters so that they can finally learn more about Vegapunk and the ancient kingdom.
