Overwatch 2is making numerous quality of life changes to create a better experience, though fans believe some things can still be improved upon. For instance, oneOverwatch 2fan believes Torbjorn should get a more unique character icon - though their suggestion is surely just a joke.
Still, theOverwatch 2community has had legitimate suggestions for how to improve the rest of the game. For instance, oneOverwatch 2fan redesigned the scoreboardthat the sequel is introducing, creating a cleaner look for the stat screen that Blizzard may want to pull from for the final release of the game. Other fans have shared ideas for how to make the Support class more fun to play, as it is undoubtedly the weakest link inOverwatch 2’s first beta testing period.

Instead of making suggestions about how to makeOverwatch 2’s Support heroesmore fun to play, Reddit user SanchoBalancho pushed to see Torbjorn’s character icon changed. Obviously, this would be a small adjustment, as character icons are only visible on the scoreboard and in the bottom left corner of a player’s screen. Since they have no major impact on gameplay, the joke from SanchBalancho could technically become a reality - though it is unlikely. Regardless, the idea is a fun one.
As shown by this Redditor’s edited images, Torbjorn’s face could be kept just out of frame, making his image different from otherOverwatchheroes. Two different skins are technically shown, but both are hard to make out. A fun reference to his extremely short height, the images feature Torbjorn’s back armor and hair but nothing else. Obviously, this is just a joke, as characters likeMoiraare far shorter than Reinhardt but still have their face shown in the character icons. Still, it is entertaining, and Torbjorn would still be instantly recognizable since his icon would be the only one like this.
Unsurprisingly, the post has proven to be a big hit on Reddit, with over 6,000 upvotes since it was posted. While fans should not expect anything as silly as this to ever come to the game,Overwatch’s googly eyes for April Fool’s Dayhave shown that Blizzard is willing to joke around every once in a while. Next time April Fool’s Day comes around, briefly readjusting Torbjorn’s character icons so that they look like this could be entertaining. At the very least, fans will always be able to get a laugh out of these photoshopped images from SanchoBalancho.
For Torbjorn fans interested in where Blizzard actually takes Torbjorn inOverwatch 2, his involvement with Bastion is interesting and could absolutely be expanded on through comics, shorts, and cutscenes. InOverwatch 2’s PvE campaign, fans may even get to play some missions that seeBastion and Torbjorninteracting to get an idea of how their friendship formed.
