Persona’s 25th anniversary celebration has been filled with plenty of announcements and new content coming for the massively popular RPG franchise. Between the recent confirmation of thereturn of the annual “Persona Super Live” concertfor later this year, collaborations with games likeFinal Fantasy Brave Exviusand last year’sSuper Monkey Ball: Banana Mania, and March’s port ofPersona 4 Arena Ultimax, ATLUS has been slowly revealing more and more to celebrate its iconic franchise. Now, with several reveals left to come, ATLUS has hinted at even more announcements set for this year.

Despite recent leaks ofPersona 4 Goldencoming to Switch and PS4 after arriving to Steam in 2020 and rumors thatPersona 5may be headed to Xbox, ATLUS has yet to officially confirm information on any new upcoming traditionalPersonagames, be it a port of an old game orPersona 6. However, a recent update to the Japanese 25th anniversary site has seen the announcement timeline add two new mystery announcements, listed as “Coming Soon”.

The Japanese website forthePersonafranchise’s 25th anniversaryrecently saw an update to its announcement timeline adding multiple “Coming Soon” slots. The timeline already featured nondescript announcements set for June and later in August as well as one more mystery announcement, with the update leading many to believe ATLUS is hinting at announcements to come at the previously announced “Persona Super Live” event. No official statement has been made by ATLUS regarding the addition.

While no confirmation has been made regarding a futurePersonagame from ATLUS, the positioning of the announcements within the timeline would suggest the details behind these updates may be coming during the summer. Both added announcements are placed between the June and Autumn announcements, with the vague window of the Autumn announcement possibly suggesting these newest announcements could be planned for the concert in October. An announcement for a futurePersonagame would be following in the footsteps of pastPersonaconcerts, with the developer announcingPersona 5 Royalduring the 2019 concert.

ATLUS’s mysterious new announcements come as speculation has run rampant among the fan base regarding the future of thePersonaseries. A recent report from ATLUS stated that the company was looking toexpand thePersonaseries globally, mentioning unified global release windows. Further, rumors ofPersonagames coming to more consoles have been fueled by recent releases like the Switch-exclusiveShin Megami Tensei 5and the upcomingMegami TenseispinoffSoul Hackers 2coming to Xbox. ATLUS clearly has plenty more surprising reveals in store forPersonafans throughout the rest of 2022.
