With theXbox Series Xgaining a lot of traction online for its incredibly powerful specs and features, it seems a lot of Microsoft’s fans are looking to pick up the major new console when it launches later this year. Microsoft has yet to put a price tag on theXbox Series X, however, with many eagerly waiting to find out how much adopting into the newest range of consoles will set them back. Yet, it seems head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, does have some ideas surrounding what the Series X might cost.

Talking to IGN on its Unlocked podcast, Spencer discussed the approach the company is taking regarding the market price of the Xbox Series X, with the popular industry figure making a lot of interesting claims. It seems the company is looking to stay somewhat flexible regarding how it prices the console, with Spencer looking to offer the best deal for fans looking to buy into Microsoft’s next-generation hardware early.

“You have to set a price target at the beginning for yourselves, and then you kind of roll in as you see the competition come in and you start to do your go-to-market planning,” Spencer begins, continuing, “I feel good about the price that we’re going to be able to get to. I feel good about the price and the performance capabilities that we have with Series X.” Spencer is clearly very confident regarding how accessible the price will be, and it’s great to see Xbox is ready to adapt in accordance with thePlayStation 5’s pricing whenever it’s announced.

“We’re getting incredible support from Microsoft. Satya Nadella, the CEO, my boss, Amy Hood, the CFO, they’re very linked in to what our plans are,” Spencer clarifies, finalizing his thought by claiming “We’re going to make sure that we stay agile on our pricing and that we have a good plan going into launch.” As many will no doubt agree, it’s important for a new console launch to keep in mind what its competitors are offering price-wise, especially as this is where consoles like thePlayStation 3 have found significant backlash in the past.

Hopefully, the Xbox Series X will look to offer its fan a great price, especially seen as Xbox are quickly becoming one of the most player-friendly console manufacturers on the market. Whatever the price falls at, players will seemingly be getting a lot of bang for their buck, with the Xbox Series X allowing users to access all of their Xbox One titles, offering unparalleled load times, and delivering stunning 4k visuals.

TheXbox Series Xis scheduled to launch this holiday season.
