Sony has just launched a new PlayStation Store sale called the Remasters and Retro sale. This new promotion offers cheaper prices on some of the most recent remakes and remasters, alongside massive discounts for some ofthe most popular retro games on the PS4. It is worth noting that the sale won’t go on forever, so those who are interested in picking up a deal or two should act now while the discounts are still available.

Headlining Sony’s Remasters & Retro games sale is the 2019 remake of the classic 1998 survival horror game,Resident Evil 2.Players can pick up the deluxe edition ofResident Evil 2for $22.99, which is 54% cheaper than its current list price of $49.99. To the uninitiated,Resident Evil 2: Deluxe Editionincludes the base game, the option to swap the game’s soundtrack to 1998 original, a deluxe weapon,and a wide assortment of costumesfor both Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield.

Immediately afterResident Evil 2remake’s release last year, the game received overwhelmingly positive reviews from both players and critics, due to the remake’s faithful recreation of the classic game, while adding new locations and storylines. Additionally,Resident Evil 2remake already outsold the lifetime salesof the original game, selling over five million copies as of December 2019. Unfortunately, the remake ofResident Evil 3, which released last March, is not included in the sale.

On the side of the retro games, the PlayStation Store is currently offeringHarvest Moon: A Wonderful Life Special Editionfor $5.99.A Wonderful Lifeoriginally released to the GameCube in 2004, before it was ported to the PlayStation 2 and PS4. Among the manyHarvest Moongames that have been released thus far,A Wonderful Lifeis often regarded as one of the best, given its improved gameplay and graphics at the time.
