In celebration of the holidays, The Pokemon Company is making several episodes from thePokemonanime that revolve around giving gifts available for free. For manyPokemonfans, the anime holds a special place in their hearts. The anime has episodes based on holidays of all kinds, and explores heartwarming and challenging feelings alike. ForPokemonfans celebrating with family, friends, or on their own, it might be fun to revisit some of these classicPokemonanime episodes.Technically, a significant amount of thePokemonanime is already available to watch online for free. The officialPokemonwebsite has made seasons 1, 2, 10, 11, 12, and 20 through 24 available to watch at any time. Those are theeras of thePokemonanimeincluding “The Beginning,” “Diamond and Pearl,” “Sun & Moon,” and “Journeys.” If there’s a special episode or story from one of those series of thePokemonanime, then fans can check them out at any time.RELATED:Ash and Pikachu Are Leaving the Pokemon Anime After 25 YearsAs a special event just for the holiday season to close out 2022 and start 2023,The Pokemon Companyhas put together a special collection ofPokemonanime episodes available to view for a limited time. The collection is named “Presents ‘n’ Pokemon” and it focuses onPokemonanime episodes that feature characters giving gifts to their friends, family, or even their Pokemon. The collection is available until January 6.
Many of the episodes featured in the Presents ‘n’ Pokemon collection are not included in what’s freely available otherwise. For example, one of many fans' favorite moments from the anime,Ash giving a gift to Serenaunder the Pledging Tree, is from Season 18, which isn’t available on thePokemonwebsite. It’s been temporarily unlocked just for this special holiday event, though.
Ten episodes in total have been unlocked. The Episodes include season 1’s “The Battling Eevee Brothers,” season 2’s “Wherefore Art Thou, Pokemon?,” season 5’s “Hi Ho Silver… Away,” Season 9’s “The unbeatable Lightness of Seeing,” season 16’s “The Dream Continues!,” season 18’s “Under the Pledging Tree!,” season 20’s “Alola to New Adventure!,” season 20’s “So Long, Sophocles!,” season 21’s “The Professors' New Adventure!,” and season 22’s “The Secret Princess!”
This is obviously just a limited selection of episodes that generally fit the theme of what The Pokemon Company is doing. If it wanted to focus on Christmas-like holidays, winter fun, or other themes, it could easily have done that, too.Pokemonis a very long anime, after all. But this is still a special and thoughtful gift forPokemonfansregardless. Here’s hoping the selection of gift-relatedPokemonanime episodes helps put a smile on some fans' faces for the holidays.
