Summary

APokemonfan has recently created an incredible sculpture featuring a fusion of all creatures from Johto using polymer and air-dry porcelain clays. Johto first appeared in the second generation ofPokemongames, withPokemon Gold and Silverback in 1999.

Gold and Silvertook players to the new Johto region, where they could battle eight new Gym Leaders, and catch 100 new monsters, including legendaries such as Lugia and Ho-oh. With iconic starters such as Chikorita, Totodile, and Cyndaquil,Pokemon’s Gen 2is still among the most beloved generations of the series.

Now, aPokemonfan called Miguel Paredes shared an amazing sculpture depicting a fusion of all Gen 2 Pokemon on their YouTube channel Mig-L Arts. In the 8-minute video, it’s possible to see the whole process of making the huge creature, which has parts of all 100 different creatures, including Xatu’s wings, Tyranitar’s body, Scizor’s claws, Wooper’s neck, Celebi’s eyes, Feraligator’s legs, and more. According to the creator, the sculpture was made using polymer and air-dry porcelain clays that were painted later.

Clay Sculpture Featuring The Fusion Of Every Gen 2 Pokemon Appearing in Johto

This is not the first time that Miguel Paredes has made a huge clay Pokemon sculpture. Last year, the fan sculpted a fusion of all Gen 1 Pokemon, sharing the result on social media. This sculpture was pretty similar to Miguel’s latest work, as the monster had parts of eachGen 1 Pokemon, such as Charizard’s and Zubat’s wings, Paras’ claws, a huge Magikarp head, and more. Now, it seems that the sculptor is already thinking about creating a Gen 3 fusion of all Pokemon, but fans may have to wait for a while before it’s ready, considering Miguel took a year between the two figurines.

Making clay sculptures of classicPokemonmay not be quite as common as devising Fakemon, for example, but it’s something that crafty fans often like to do. For instance, a few years ago, one fan madesculptures of all Gen 1 Pokemon with googly eyes, which looked hilarious. These sculptures were pretty faithful recreations of beloved monsters such as Venusaur, Blastoise, and Charizard, but with unique eyes that made them adorable.

Often, fans also recreate specific creatures using clay sculptures. Another example of that was when a fan shared a video documentinghow to create a clay Porygon sculpture. Hopefully, even more fans will share amazing clay sculptures with the community soon.
