Niantic has confirmed that the nextPokemon GOCommunity Day will feature the Normal-type Pokemon, Chansey on July 20, 2025. During the event,Pokemon GOtrainers will be able to encounter the egg Pokemon more frequently, with a boosted chance of finding a rare shiny variant.
Players have been enjoying two Community Days per month inPokemon GOfor a while now. The first event revolves around a monster that has never had a day dedicated to it, while the Community Day Classic allows gamers to revisit a Pokemon they may have missed.January’s Community Day Classicwill feature another Normal-type in the form of Porygon, and if it is evolved to Porygon-Z during the specific hours, it will learn the charged attack Tri Attack move.
Niantic confirmed the news of the Chansey Community Day through thePokemon GOblog, and the event is set to take place on Sunday, June 28, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time. Along with the higher possibility of catching a shiny version, trainers will have the opportunity to evolve the pocket monster into a Blissey that knows the Electric-type Charge Attack, Wild Charge. As withprevious Community Day events inPokemon GO, several bonuses will be available to gamers during the Community Day hours. Incense and Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours, although this does not stretch to the Daily Adventure Incense. Any eggs placed in incubators will only require 1/4 distance to hatch, and Happiny, Chansey’s pre-evolution form, will appear more often in 2KM eggs.

Other rewards players can expect to see during the Chansey Community Day include 2x Candy for catching Pokemon, 2x chance for earning XL Candy for trainers over level 31, as well as an additional special trade. Niantic is also offering a $1.00 pass to unlock a special research story centering on theChansey evolution line. The ticket will go on sale closer to the February 4 start date and will be available in the in-game shop.
After the event finishes at 5:00 PM, players can partake in 4-star raids featuring Chansey. If the Pokemon is defeated, the creature will spawn in higher numbers around the gym for an additional 30 minutes. This can only be challenged by players who are in the vicinity and using either a Daily Raid or Premium Battle Pass, withPokemon GORemote Raid Passesblocked from taking part.
