Pokemon GOhas announced the return of Regidrago’s Elite Raids for players globally. April has been a busy month forPokemon GO, with Niantic revealing quite a bit of new content. With the latest news, the studio details the long-awaited compensation event.
When announcingPokemon GOSeason 10, Niantic also confirmed thedebut of Regidrago inPokemon GOvia Elite Raids. In this challenging variant of Raid Battles, players could battle and capture the Dragon-type Legendary, recruiting a powerful Pokemon. What happened in practice, however, was an event plagued by glitches and issues that prevented some players from participating in said Elite Raids.Pokemon GOplayers got frustrated, with many criticizing Niantic and demanding compensation.

Niantic announced that it is bringing back Regidrago’s Elite Raids, with information on when players can faceone ofPokemon’s Legendary Titansagain - or for the first time. Regidrago’s Elite Raids will happen on May 13 at 11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 5:00 p.m. local time. In addition to the Elite Raids,Pokemon GOwill make available two exclusive Timed Researches from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time, also on May 13. Players who complete the tasks will receive Regirock Candy, Regice Candy, and Registeel Candy, which is used to power up these Pokemon.
The Regidrago Elite Raids will also include a compensation gift for players in the GMT +13 time zone, who experienced the biggest problems in March. The bundle will be available in the in-game shop from 11:00 a.m. on May 12 until 6:00 p.m. on May 13 and will contain 3 Premium Battle Passes and 2 Silver Pinap Berries. On an important note, Niantic emphasizes that in this new edition of Regidrago Elite Raids, players will not be able to use Remote Raid Passes. In late March, Niantic announced thatPokemon GO’s Remote Raids would change, causing a controversy thatled some players to quitPokemon GO.
The return of Regidrago Elite Raids is a good chance forPokemon GOplayers affected the first time and for players who participated before to try their luck again. The announcement, however, wasn’t received with much enthusiasm by thePokemon GOcommunity. Some players even revealed that the problems in the Regidrago Raids made them decide not to participate in the Elite Raids ofRegieleki’sPokemon GOdebut.
