This past May, players were able to battle Shadow Mewtwo for a limited time and obtain various rewards upon completion of the Shadow Raid inPokemon GO.Raid events occur regularly inPokemon GO, and Niantic introduced a new Raid type into the highly popular mobile game in May 2023. Team GO Rocket returned to challengePokemon GOplayers in the very first Shadow Raid featuring all-powerful Shadow Mewtwo on May 27. During the final weekend of May,Pokemon GOplayers put a stop to Team GO Rocket’s sinister plans by defeating Shadow Mewtwo. If lucky, Shadow Mewtwo will be available to capture with a Poke Ball, and a Shiny variant may randomly appear in Shadow Raid battles. Players could earn additional Rare Candy XL rewards, but various bugs prevented some from obtaining their rewards after successfully completing the Shadow Raid battle.RELATED:Pokemon GO Players Point Out Game is Still Missing Important Feature After Six YearsThe official Niantic Support Twitter account released a statement to address the issues regardingthe Mewtwo Shadow Raid event inPokemon GO.
