Pokemon Scarlet and Violetwill feature plenty of returning Pokemon from previous generations, but they will also feature brand-new Pokemon as well that are native to the Paldea region. The first three Paldea region Pokemon revealed forPokemon Scarlet and Violetwere the starters Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly, and even though there’s been three trailers for the games at this point, fans are still unsure about what their evolutions will look like.
Game Freak, Nintendo, and The Pokemon Company have been keeping thePokemon Scarlet and Violetstarter evolutionssecret. It’s entirely possible that they will be revealed ahead of launch, but there’s also a decent chance that fans will have to play the games for themselves to see what the starters evolve into. Some fans have designed their ownPokemon Scarlet and Violetstarter evolutions to help fill the gap, while leakers have hinted at what exactly they might entail.

Leaks shared by the CentroLeaks Twitter account point toPokemon Scarlet and Violet’s starter evolutions, though fans should take the information with a grain of salt. Apparently, Sprigatito’s final evolution can be described as a “magician” Pokemon, while Quaxly’s evolution is the “dancer” Pokemon. The only hint given aboutFire-type starter Fuecocois that the evolution will have something to do with an egg.
This isn’t the first time that Sprigatito’s final evolution has been teased to be magician-like or otherwise having a wand at its disposal. In fact, the Sprigatito’s final evolution has been compared to Delphox, with one “leaked” video showing what almost looked a lot like a Grass-type version of thePokemon X & YFire-type starter final evolution. That particularSprigatito final evolution leakproved to be fake, but if the latest information is correct, then it seems that it did have some kernel of truth to it. Ultimately, fans will have to wait for the proper reveal to know for sure.
Since officially announcingPokemon Scarlet and Violetin February, Game Freak, Nintendo, and The Pokemon Company have released three trailers for the games. It’s quite likely thatPokemon Scarlet and Violetwill get more trailersand coverage in the months leading up to their release in November, though nothing official has been announced. And even if more footage of the games is shown, it doesn’t mean fans will get to see the starter evolutions in advance. The only guarantee of seeing them is when the games actually launch later this year.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violetwill be available on November 18, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
