After all, it’s not that common for a single-player game to be played for 10 years and get all sorts of editions after the first - and yet,Skyrimdid precisely that, with theAnniversary Editioncoming in just a few days.
Of course, it’s hard to top a game the caliber ofSkyrim, even for Bethesda, which made many players hyped forThe Elder Scrolls 6way before its announcement. The first teaser trailer came at E3 2018, but since then the game has gone radio-silent, holding the record of over 1,200 days without a solid update outside of Phil Spencer’s comment aboutFable 4likely coming beforeThe Elder Scrolls 6. Fans have been speculating about what its release date could be, and a leak might reveal just that.

In fact, Okami Games shared a Tweet that includes plenty of possible release dates planned for many games, includingThe Elder Scrolls 6. The leak generated from Nvidia GeForce, which is not new to leaking games and their release dates by accident, and the new document seesThe Elder Scrolls 6releasing on Jun 27, 2025. It is entirely possible that the date is more of a placeholder than the actual release date, especially because Bethesda’sIndiana Jonesgame is reportedly releasing just one day apart fromThe Elder Scrolls 6, on January 1, but it could still provide some insight into a general time when fans may be able to expectElder Scrolls 6.
As such,The Elder Scrolls 6might be released in 2024, but not necessarily on January 2nd, which is more indicative of what the planned release is going to be. This means that even if the game is slated for release in 2024, it might still be coming no sooner than November or December of the same year for the holiday season.
With Todd Howard stating thatThe Elder Scrolls 6was still in the planning phasea few months ago, it’s not impossible that there will be delays, too. More importantly, fans should note that Bethesda has a lot on its plate at the moment, with games likeStarfieldjust recently being revealed in more detail despite the release date closing in. Thus, this information is to be taken with a pinch of salt.
