Resident Evil 3received the remake treatment in similar vein toResident Evil 2. WithResident Evil 3’s remake came beautiful new graphics, filled with intense horror and gore. Not only that, but the game also features a bounty of weaponry, old and new.
These weapons came in many forms. Some can only be used based on the difficulty settings, or if the player was running through as Jill or Carlos. Other weapons can only be unlocked through in-game rewards that players purchase with in-game currency at the shopafter beating the story. This provides the game with plenty of replay value, thanks to the array of unique weapons.

13G19 Handgun
In the beginning sequences of the game, Jill will automatically pick up a G19 handgun from an RPD police officer outside the bar where she separated from Brad. This handgun becomes Jill’s default weapon and proves to be a defining weapon in one ofthe best horror games of 2020.
The G19 does moderate damage, and is an okay weapon, especially after upgrading it with a dot sight and moderator. Yet, with these upgrades, the weapon takes up two inventory slots and gains a lot of recoil.

12G18 Handgun
When playing as Carlos, the first weapon players equip will be Carlos’ handgun, the G18 Handgun. This pistol has a faster rate of fire than Jill’s G19, and it refocuses slightly better too. Yet, the damage between the guns is identical.

The G18 can also do more damage per shot than the rifle that Carlos obtains in the game, making this weapon a viable option for zombie slaying.
11G18 Handgun (Burst Model)
Not to be confused with Carlos’ default G18 handgun, this model is a burst fire model. Once Jill becomes playable again in the Hospital segment of the game, players can find the G18 burst model on the counter, next to the item box.
Here, players will find ammo for the gun. It is superior to Jill’s G19, because it fires at a significantly faster rate, and can be fired in 3 round bursts with low recoil.

10Hot Dogger
This melee weapon is rather powerful and can be purchased from the shop for 7200P. The anti-bioweapon knife is capable of igniting enemies and setting them on fire with each slash. This allows for rapid damage in quick succession.
Melee weapons aren’t great forResident Evil 3, as enemies can perform grab moves when the player gets too close. Therefore, the Hot Dogger is best reserved for incapacitated enemies.

9Samurai Edge
This classic 9mm handgun holds 15 shots in its magazine and is pretty good across the board. It can be purchased from the shop for 5600P, which is a fair asking price for a weapon of this caliber. Its accuracy and firepower are its show-off abilities.

The samurai edge handgun uses regular handgun ammo, which makes it easier for the player to find ammunition. It’s an effective weapon against enemies at a good distance.
8.44 AE Lightning Hawk Magnum
This marks another return for this iconicResident Evilhandgun. This weapon can hold 8 rounds in its magazine, and provides power and accuracy in a small semi-auto package. The weapon can be found in the Hospital and is an entirely optional weapon. Players will need to head to the 2nd floor and enter the courtyard to claim the weapon.
The lightning hawk deals heavy damage and is often seen as a one-hit kill weapon against all non-boss enemies, especially on lower difficulties. The recoil can be an issue, but the modification of the extended barrel will fix that.

7M3 Shotgun
What is aResident Eviltitle without a trusty shotgun? The M3 shotgun is a 12-gauge pump-action shotgun. It provides the player with great control, but with a wide pellet spread. With a 4-round capacity, this weapon certainly packs a mighty punch.
Players can find the M3 shotgun in the Subway Office. They will need to obtain the Bolt Cutters to cut the chain to get the gun. Alternatively, after the derailing, the gun can be found in the safe room. It’s a very efficient killing machine, especially after finding the upgrades necessary.

6CQBR Assault Rifle
During the beginning sections of the Raccoon Police Department and Raccoon General Hospital, Carlos will automatically have the CQBR assault rifle in his inventory.Jill can also obtain the weapon, but only if the player chooses Assisted Difficulty.
With a high rate of fire, the weapon has quite the kick to it. As players attempt to mow down enemies, they may find themselves fighting against the terrible spread of the weapon. However, the upgrades available make for reduced recoil and tightened fire patterns, helping to conserve ammo and control headshots.

5Infinite CQBR Assault Rifle
After being purchased from the shop for 28400P, the player can find this weapon in the item boxes for both Jill and Carlos. It acts largely the same as the regular CQBR Assault Rifle that Carlos has in the base game, but with a great addition.
This version of the CQBR assault rifle has infinite ammo. Despite not being compatible with modifications like the scope, tactical grip, or dual magazine, players can run and gun nearly endlessly, which makes for a great weapon.

4MGL Grenade Launcher
If players fail to acquire the grenade launcher in the safe room at the sewers, they have another opportunity right after the derailing, at that safe room. This explosive weapon takes up two inventory spaces, which isn’t exactly a problem considering how powerful it is.

It may suffer from a slow reload, but the damage output is worth it. It can also use many ammunition types such as acid rounds, explosive rounds, flame rounds, and more. This powerhouse can wipe out swarms of simple zombies and deal great damage to theterrifying Nemesis.
