Even though the remake ofResident Evil 4is a little bit shorter than the original, it can still feel like a lengthy game, especially when playing through it for the first time, but there is one trick that can be employed to skip the goat head section in a later chapter. There’sa lot going on in the world of horror gaming, with releases from the AAA and indie scenes keeping the genre fresh and exciting, and Capcom’s latest remake is proving extremely popular at the moment.
While notable for dialing up the action when compared to other entries,Resident Evil 4still has its puzzle elements. These sections help break up the otherwise high-octane and intense moments, but without being too taxing. Many of them are fairly straightforward but require a bit of a trek in order to complete. Luckily, it’s been discovered that one area can be entirely skipped with a well-placed grenade.

YouTube user Zombified recently posted a clip from theirResident Evil 4playthrough, which shows how to make quick work of the “goat head” puzzle in chapter nine. The brief video shows Leon approaching a platform with a statue at one end. Knowing what’s about to happen, the player pulls out a grenade and throws it towards the lever at the far side. What’s supposed to happen is a Zealot will approach and activate said lever, which drops the platform and forces Leon to take on hordes of enemies to get to the goat-shaped item. However, timing this trick well means the Zealot will be instantly killed by the exploding grenade and the platform won’t be lowered. This gives the player the chance to reach the statue and the goat head piece with ease.
There are already a number of people who are discoveringtricks that can be pulled off inResident Evil 4, including one that can end the beginning village fight section by striking the bell in the tower with a bullet. The remake has only been out for a few days, so it will be interesting to see what other skips and exploits fans will uncover.
